what do you do if a co-worker speaks negatively about you?

How do you fix this in such a way that you would come on top, and show everyone his true stinky character?

Depends on who and what is being said. The way I would deal with it is get them in a situation where there are a few people about, let them say their worst and then bam go in there and show them up. You tend to find that people who make their mouths go are the biggest cowards, however they find security when they think they have a group of people to hide behind. Ironically that is when they're at their most vulnerable because groups of people can turn just like that! Also don't resort to pettiness and name calling, just expose the person for who they are and then walk away with your head held high. Good luck!

I would approach the co-worker and kindly ask them to stop speaking negatively about me. I would let the co-worker know that I am aware of what he/she is doing. Confronting a person about his/her actions often times deters them from going any further.

As far as coming out on top... Be your normal self. No need to be extra "good". If the other co-workers are intelligent, they will know that the negative-speaking person has no merit in what he/she is saying and will eventually tire of hearing the negativity.

I say this from experience, I pray for them while I'm smiling at them. People need to be careful when they talk about others because the very person you put down, talk about whatever the case...you may need them one

first keep your peace. he has nothing better to do but talk about you or down rate your character feel proud. then maintain yourself. see as long as you are still being the better person in reality he has already made himself look stupid. trust this. they may be agreeing in his face but really they are looking at him like why in the world is he wasting his time talking about this person and they arent even saying anything about him? you always be the better person always and dont stoop to his level. never. you will come out better in the end

I laugh at them, and ask them if they want me to dish dirt about them. Works like a charm! But then, I tell everyone I work with that I can be the b- i- itch from hell.
