Absolutely.. They trust that an 800 year old man heard voices from a burning bush... They trust that a 600 year old man could build an ark big enough to house tens of thousands of mammals in a boat made of.. get this... wood!! LOL. Oh yeah, and that god wants us to be like sheep, whereas Satan helped us gain knowledge... Summary... God kills us and is the good guy, Satan teaches us and is the bad guy... well at least according to the old testament.

Yes. These events have taken place. Adam and Eve were God's first created humans, Noah built an ark to save his family from the flood, Abraham was willing to sacrifice his only son because God told him to. The bible is past, present and future history. Read it, and may God open your eyes to see the truth......

Yes and no. Yes in the sense that it is a history, but does not give enough to satisfy a septic mind. No in the sense that they are also meant to be read in the spirit, showing love of the Creator. Example Adam and eve, it shows that we are not a mistake, and also shows that we have the power to speak non-existent things in to reality, 100 years ago the Idea that we can fly, and communicate over long distant was thought to be crazy. But by people talking about these ideas caused them to manifest in to reality. Noah's ark, shows that God can choose to wipe us out for evil, but also shows that HE rewards faithfulness. It also shows that by listening to HIM,HE will save us from HIS judgment.

personally I take the philosophy that they both have a literal and metaphorical meaning to them when a literal meaning is possible.

I am a big fan of

Maimonides that said

" if science and Torah were misaligned, it was either because science was not understood or the Torah was misinterpreted. Maimonides argued that if science proved a point, then the finding should be accepted and scripture should be interpreted accordingly."

Sure they are, which is why they are stupid. Can you trace the human ancestory back to one pair of people? Come on now, where is the proof of that. Floods wiping out the world? Did not know we had global warming back then. And that whole deal with the trek through the desert for 40 years? Actually, that one I can believe since a guy was leading them and us guys never ask for directions.

There are over 30,000 unique Christian cults and they all interpret the bible in their own unique way.

There is no such thing as "Christian doctrine" that applies to the whole group. Christianity is more tribal or local than it is a world religion.
