I keep hearing people say "I'm bringing sexy back" or making jokes about "bringing sexy back". It's like, the latest catch phrase or something.

What I want to know is: where did this come from? Who said this first? Was it on a TV show or soemthing?

Spiritually and physically/practically. I saw a very interesting documentary the other day which mentioned that some religions in India only burn their dead bodies, and that Jews and Muslims don't believe in embalming. I didn't know that. Is it really true?

In any case, it got me thinking and questioning, so I hope that people out there can enlighten me!!

So, what happens when someone of your religion dies?

Here is the question... If you do not believe in God, then that is your choice. But is it because of your arrogance and pride that you haunt the religion and spirituality boards rather than stick to your fairy tale part of the boards?

I was wondering... If an atheist were to fall in the forrest and there were no people there to hear him scream would he actually have fallen?

Now I can't speak for people misquoting anything but the Bible, since I am not falmilar with the Koran or the Hindu or Buddhist teachings. I see it a lot on here, but I don't even bother with correcting the person because they won't get it anyways.

But can you put a number on it? I would say 15-20 a day I see and I don't view too many religios questions.

I'm am asking this question to challenge other believers to think about these things from a biblical perspective. Regarding Christians and rights...I understand that we are to abide by the laws of the land, but what about when the laws of the land contradict the laws of God? Also, isn't the surrendering of one's earthly rights for the sake of living for JESUS the basic foundation of Christianity?

Regarding politics. If we put our faith in trust in the Lord, and HE is our provider, why the political involvement? How do you know if the candidate elect is of God?

I've just been wondering, why is the Christian faith so targeted by so-called comedians, and yet other religions are left well alone, in particular the Muslim faith. Surely a little joke aimed at your religion should be taken as a joke.
Similarly, why don't Christians stand up for themselves- Muslims/Sikhs/Hindus would not stand for any blasphemous remark, so why do Christians.

Hola Jennifer! recibí la foto de Gabriela, esta muy bella; nosotros aca estamos todos bien,yo sigo con el negocio por ahora es temporada baja,pero a partir de Diciembre a Febrero mejora sólo que tengo que tener paciencia y mucha Fé para que todo vaya muy bien. Yo lo siento que tú estes cansada por lo que Gabriela duerme en tus brazos;ya ella se acostumbró a dormir así y es un poco difícil cortarle esa costumbre,ella mejorará en un tiempo más tambien me alegro mucho que el ortopedista diga que Gabriela ya no use el soporte,claro que sólo lo uso unos dias,pero de todas maneras siempre hay que verle su pies para ver si no está rígido y asi volver a consultar con el medico para que no vaya a tener problemas al caminar en un futuro.
Para que tú puedas descansar algo,si tu deseas mandarla a Gabriela en Diciembre con Diego yo la sigo esperando y tambien toda nuestra familia que esta anciosa por conocerla y disfrutar de su presencia,yo cancelaré su pasaje para ella, bueno me tengo que ir de visita a una tia que tengas muy buenas noches.

On Saturday mornings, television is flooded with commercials for kids products. I understand the need for stimulus in toys but when I saw a commercial for some kind of candy that stamps a tattoo on your tongue and chips with jokes written on them I just about had it. Why do kids need their food to be sparkly or in fun packaging or neon colors or needs to do fun stuff? What the hell happened to graham crackers and apple juice?

I've heard an ex-Muslim say it is converting to Christianity? He also said the reason why people strap bombs to themselves and want to kill all the infadels "Christians" and have a holy Jihad is the quron states that is how you get to heaven. How can you moderate Muslims who live by the Quron deny this? And claim it is a peace loving religion?
Jesus died for your sins so you wouldn't have to die this way. You can not atone for your own sins. Jesus Christ came to die for everyone sins, this is God plan and way for salvation.
Do you all believe you can die for the sins of this world and make right the evil in it?

I love the Lord and have been a christian for over 21 years, I redeciated my life to the Lord 17 years ago.

I want to become more passionate about Jesus and I also want to have zeal and be enthuistaic about church not treat church as an option, but as a godly priority.

I have also had some circumstances that really hurt me and "cut me down to size" and for quite some time I was mad and angry at God.

What are godly ways to grow in God and continue to seek him 1st?

Once a religion begins to establish forced control over others, or to make its teachings dogma that must be followed or punishment results, then that religion loses sight of true spiritual understanding. That is when it brings in the seeds of corruption. It replaces the need to promote true spiritual understanding with the desire to establish its superiority over others, which can lead to the ways of totalitarianism. Then politics, disunity, intrigue and even war become prevalent.
All true religions accept that God is the ultimate unifying principle, an omnipotent, supremelu spiritual being who has infinite intelligence and capabilities, abd from whom comes pure and unlimited love for one and all. He reciprocates with us to the degree to which we surrender or desire to understand Him. A religion which cannot offer such an understanding, or whose followers have perverted the philosophy, or who cannot apply it in their daily lives, is not a truly progressive or elevating religion. In such a case, it becomes necessary to get away from the church to get closer to God. after all, the church should not make itself more important than the true spiritual knowledge it should be promoting. In other words, when the process of worship outweighs the object of worship, or God, then you have already lost Him. Such a religion will not be spiritually successful and should be corrected or avoided.
What this means, as we head into the future, is that it will be most important for people to be spiritually knowledgeable and to think for themselves and recognize that forced dogma is not what true religion is about. We have already spent many centuries witnessing religions supressing and persecuting others and we should have learned our lesson by now. As spiritual beings, we all have an eternal relationship with the Supreme Spirit. No church or institution or its representatives can interfere with that. We do not have to participate in any religion that forces us to be subservient to a faulty creed or misleading or corrupt leaders. we must only serach out those individuals, pure devotees, who can assist us and gives us the spiritual knowledge by which we can understand and reach the Supreme Being ourselves, with or without any institution or organized religion. To become atheistic because of the failure of religions to present us God as He is is the sum total of all stupidity. God's doing very well , thank you. Whether you ackowledge, recognize, know this or not.

But. the craziest one was when some guy said I look like a light-skinned African American person!!!
