My son is mad on Catholicism. He already has the Popes autograph, the last one not the new one, a signed copy of the Bible and even talks of becoming a Nun when he gets older. As a bithday treat I would love to get him something with the Turin shroud on it. Has anyone seen anything like this or will he have to settle for a visit to Rome again?

Genesis 6:6 And the Lord was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart.

Its nice to know God has a heart.

I personally see things, like a sunset, beauty in nature or the birth of my son and I just feel like they are amazing gifts from GOD. Miracles if you will.

Have you ever witnessed something so amazing it really moved you or brought you to tears, if so what do you call it?

What do you think about the Shaun being Claire's father situation? Do you think that Mimi and Shaun should stay together or that he and Belle should be together? I don't like Belle anymore. She turned into a total witch! What do you think about Patrick? Do you think that he is guilty? Tell me all of your opinions.

Genesis 6:19 And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort (2)into the ark to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground, according to its kind, two of every sort shall come in to you to keep them alive. (2)

Next we see him being asked to bring a different number of "beasts" into the ark.

Genesis 7:2 Take with you seven pairs (14)of all clean animals, the male and his mate, and a pair (2)of the animals that are not clean, the male and his mate, 3 and seven pairs (14) of the birds of the heavens also, male and female, to keep their offspring alive on the face of all the earth.

I'm 20 years old, and I can't help but to notice that people are stupid, immature, insecure, obnoxious, and simply put weak-minded. I try to be optimistic on this subject, but as the days go by I can't help but notice that I tend to run into more and more A$$HOLEs and in effect it seems everyday I grow slightly more bitter than the previous... I don't want to hate people, and I like to think that everyone is inherently good. But the BS that I put up with is making numb - Maybe its just me but I'm starting to believe that the world is truly a fcuked up place - thank you America for contributing to my ever growing insanity.

First off, I am an atheist, so please do not reply with anti-Christian rhetoric. All I'm looking for is a little intellectual honesty. Let's say that there's a religion out there that seems to be inherently violent (i.e. not a week goes by without followers of this faith killing people in the name of thier faith). Let's say that I make a comment that associates that religion with violence, and the reaction of that religion's followers is violence! Would that fit the definition of irony? Can we still pretend that the religion is peaceful? Is calling that religion "peaceful" enough to create truth out thin air? Oh, I forgot to mention, a verse in this religion's holy book is "slay the unbelievers wherever ye shall find them." Also, the ill-informed followers of that religion, most of whom are peaceful people in blissful denial of the realities of their faith's teachings, like to perform mental gymnastics around the violence that is always peripheral to their faith.

I'm not talking about flying spaghetti monsters, ghosts and aliens. I'm just asking, does anyone FEEL things, like a sensation that something is, and has been, clicked out of sorts with the world and our surroundings. Like things are out of sync, you can scan people's thoughts and be accurate, feeling like "it's coming"...I know I sound nuts, but I swear I am perfectly sane. I just want to see if others sense this.

After you've been with someone for awhile-do they always change? I mean like make alot of promises and tell you just how much they love you and can't live without you,and a year or so later-they act completely different! Not mean-just not the same person you met and fell inlove with!

The latest fossil finds in Africa adding to the weight of evidence in favor of evolution as opposed to "Intelligent Design"?
Why do they also believe more passionately about things where there is the least scientific evidence to back up up their arguments?

Please read "his" as "his/her" - limitations on number of characters required the abbreviation (my apologies).

This question is prompted by Benedict's demand that Canadian Catholic politicians vote according to church policy rather than according to the will of the people.

Is a politician who votes against his/her religious convictions worthy of trust?

Is a politician who votes against the will of the electorate worthy of trust?

Does either betrayal (religion or electorate) make a politician trustworthy?

It cleary states in Exodus 3:2 And the angel of the Lord appeared to him...

Exodus 3:4 When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”
Exodus 3:6 And he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.
He already saw God, he saw the angel already in the previous verse. This being read correctly states that God is seen as an angel.
When I read this chapter in Exodus it led me on a venture, and made me want to search closely through the other scriptures to see where else God was mistaken as an angel.

I found many where man, and women mistake an angel as God.
Any good arguments on the subject are much apperciated.

My husband's new friend came over to the house. I only knew him by his last name (military), not his first. For some reason, Joshua and Christopher stuck out. It turned out his middle name is Joshua, and Christopher was his name for 3 days...his mother and father had a change of heart and got his first name and birth certificate changed to Brian. Anyone else had an odd thing like this happen to them?
