A friend of mine has been separated from his wife for seven months. They have children together, however she was the one who abandoned them.

They are going through all the divorce proceedings - during this time he has met an old high school friend whom has always shown interest in him.

They have agreed to go out on a few dates when everything is cleared and he is ready. He says that she isn't rushing him into anything serious - but she is there for him to talk to. Which is good in my opinion.

The thing is he thinks that he is being unfaithful to his wife for having feelings for this woman since he is still officially married. He says that it is the devil is trying to tempt him.

I say that it is a good thing that he has found someone to lean on. I am afraid that the devil may be trying to cloud his judgement into thinking a good thing is actually a bad thing.

I was wondering what your opinion would be? Do you think that he is being unfaithful? Or do you think he is in the wrong because he is still (at least on paper) married?

If that is the case then why are there utterly loving, compassionate people, or even just when a mother tucks her childs hair behind her ear, or when people cry at a funeral. Their behavior is not based on survival is it? Conversely, when a sadists tortures his victims, he does not do so for survival but for pleasure? How do these "emotions" relate to microorganisms?

how much proof would it take to prove to a religious person that we infact evolved and were not created by god. i do not want scripture. i want to know what you think would prove to you that we did infact evolve and were not placed here by a god. what would it take to prove this point to you?

My partner and I are discussing and planning to have children. I plan to have our first child and my partner will adopt him/her. Our church minister asked about last name and we came up with using both of our last names hyphened with my partners last name last. Any other ideas? I thought about creating a last name using our last names, but our lawyer stated that this would pose a problem.

I'm an Aussie scientist and I've never encountered anything like all the stuff that comes from American Christian Fundamentalists on this site. So this is a question for you if you are one - do you really think geology / paleontology / biology / physics is one big con? If so, why? And how could it possibly be done? I guess I mean what is your understanding of how science is done?

It's an honest question and I'm mainly interested in the perspective of Christian Fundamentalists.

what did you think about it do you agree with what it portrayed about religious extremists, after all you all give opinions on religion so you must have been educated in the matter and read other books about it other than the bible.

oh and yes i am aware that the book is fictional but the message it gives is what interests me.

those alive at the time the bible was written could not see God and live cause men could only live arould 120 years at most. So to see Me they ie even Jesus would have had to live 1968 years.

try treating everyone nicely for a start.
it should be a human right to be respected.

and if LORD GOD TODD=TRUE when both sides are summed to one letter ie A the He says it is a human right to be respected.

also one tenet of the Muslim faith is God is kind of slim.

And GOD=GOD MOST HIGH had to be alive near the 2nd 1000 years to put that 1000 year seal on Satan. ie an M. So the GOD who put a M seal on Satan was My right arm and Satan was My left arm. There are skeptics (athiests) that like to knock religions. Others despise the word "psychic". They seem to find enjoyment at poking fun at people who say they've seen a ghost. And those skeptics seem set on showing you how foolish you are to believe in something.

Why do some skeptics seem so set on taking away the belief of others?
