**Does God every say sorry, if so did'nt he make a mistake? **

Yes, and Noah' flood was the attempt at correcting it. As you know it didn't work.
Sorry ? , don't think so, he promised us fire the next time.

Yes, it is nice to know that God has a heart,
a very cold dispassionate one for sure.

Here's a sample.

The Bible Malachi 2 : 2 - 3
If you will not listen, if you will not take it to heart to give honor to my name, says the LORD of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart. Behold, I will rebuke your offspring, and spread dung on your faces, the dung of your offerings, and you shall be taken away with it.

Have a blessed day.

Well if we look at our own natures when it comes to being sorry for something, we can see that it doesnt always mean we made a mistake.

I feel bad and sorry that my children do not understand the rules and regulations that they have to live with sometimes, but it does not mean I am wrong, just that I don't like what I have to do.

God is like this, only on a scale much larger than we can understand, and to be sorry that he had to do something does not make what he had to do wrong or a mistake.

The word translated "sorry" here comes from a word that means "to breathe deeply" or "to sigh" and implies feelings of regret. It goes along with God being "grieved." There have been many times that mankind has grieved the heart of God and caused Him to sigh. It indicates our own "mistakes" and not God's.

You should have read Genesis 6:5 along with that. "Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

The Lord was sorry that He made man of because of the evilness and wickedness of the sins of man.

God does have a heart but He is perfect. Matthew 5:48 Be perfect therefore as your Heavenly father is perfect.

Yes, God is more compassionate than any creature he has made.
The Hebrew for this passage says just that. He had compassion for and was moved with pity for His creation. Not regret. He was moved to provide the Way for his creation to be restored to its purpose.
