My birthday is this friday, september 22nd. I'm gonna turn 20.

I don't like nightclubs at all, so that's not an option (btw, legal age is 18 here in Mexico).

The last two years I threw parties and I'm not feeling like doing it once again this year.

I thought about going with my friends to Applebee's at night, since they have a nice bar in the patio, but I think it's too.... boring. I normally like to do more than a simple trip to a restaurant.

I'm open to anything new and crazy, it doesn't have to be normal or common haha. Any ideas will be welcomed. Thanks!!

Suppose a woman is seirously attacking a man (for example, she's hitting him with a baseball bat, or she's grabbing his private parts and won't let go, or she's trying to bite a chunk out of him, etc. Why isn't it ok for a man to hit her back to prevent serious injury to himself? If he doesn't, he (an innocent man) gets seriously injured. If he does, a violent woman (who chose to seriously attack the man) gets hit. Why is the former option better than the latter?

Personally, I think it's better for the violent woman to get hit than it is for the innocent man to be injured, since the man didn't attack anyone and doesn't deserve to be hurt.

For the women who believe the man has no right to hit back, how can you demand that he not protect himself? If a man was attacking you, wouldn't you have the right to fight back to stop the man's attack? Why isn't it OK for a man to do the same thing if it's necessary?

free-trade has rendered nationalism obsolete....if we do not buy china goods, our standard of living goes down....if china does not sell her goods, their living standard goes down..

we are interdependent...if someone fails in their economy---it sends a domino effect that affects the other...

the only barriers now that are left, are those of culture, race and religion...

race is becoming less and less distinct as more and more countries become racially diverse, same with religions...religions are become more and more hedgemonic...not even close to the power it used to have....catholic political power is nothing (now with the age of science, literal doctrine is obsolete), the only religion by which peopel still feel furor over is islam...but even that is abiding now and over generations...we will learn to accept some muslim and arab culture worldwide in exchange for peace....

so the one left is culture...

why not destroy the nation state...and require this in school:

any more insulting to Islam/a Muslim than to say that Jesus was not the Son of God to Christianity/a Christian?

In both instances it would be denouncing the reason for the religion and the guiding figure behind both religions.

Do you believe he is walking the earth at this time? Do you think he is one of our world leaders of today and just hasn't been exposed yet? Do you think it's possible that he could even be our own president. Think about it. It says "his message will be peace, but he will wage war with the nations of the earth" that is not an exact quote! I can't remember the exact scripture, but it is something to that extent. Think about what are presidents message is, then think about what he's doing. Security and peace. But what is he doing? I think we are being led down a dark path and not too many people want to notice it. Especially christians because most of them are republican. I believe people in religion can be blinded by politics.

I just came accross with this about Bible. Someone tried to bring up the contradictions and inconsistencies in Bible. He was pretty judgmental but strong in his logics. Way too many contradictions to make Bible true word of God. Here:

What do you think?

with christians arguing that the only way to heaven is through jesus and islam proclaiming everyone else to be infidels. These are religions of exclusivity, divisiveness and not unity and spiritual healing. Why don't they explore hinduism more (with an open mind) with people having choice to relate to whichever representation of the godhead they relate to personally. Isn't that true monotheism to unite people in peace?

So the Muslim Community and it's leaders have decided to put an enormous spin on the truth .
Having read the Popes speech, he quotes only( for a change), the truth.
These Zealots demand apologies for political use. Who else thinks that non Muslims or the Pope owe anyone an apology other than to those who have been mislead by so long by religious indoctrination from early childhood..

Things like curing "Evil Eye," casting powerful spells over people's lives. There are rituals that seem insignificant like the one for quick money, which involves placing a lemon under your bed and following certain steps. There are so many. What do you think?

If you do consider one or more of these "peaceful," please explain in detail. If you don't consider one or more of these "peaceful," also explain please. I have done research into a variety of religions and am curious what others think.

I've noticed that this happens with any question I ask that happens not to sit on the side of Christianity. How does this make it a bad question? Because it makes you think or have to read something against your religion?

I'm just curious to your logic is all.

maybe we are not giving islam enough attention...if we could allow muslim culture to influence our lives and stuff...maybe they wouldn't be pissed off

I mean...and when we all become like "muslimized" not necessarily beleiving in allah...but compassionate toward muslim culture a nd listening to al-jazerra...maybe we would all change and then they would see us as "part of them" and no one would attack us...

because all muslims are terrorists ....see

we could keep on being christian...but just listen to what the radicals want us to change...

maybe it does not have anything to do with freedom...think about it...maybe its something completely different.

and then when we listen to all their shieks and stuff...we'll be cool with them.

Question No.1
Jesus said: "I and the Father are one" (Jn.10:30), therefore, is not Jesus the same, or, "co-equal" in status with his Father?
Answer No.1
In Greek, `heis' means `one' numerically (masc.)
`hen' means `one' in unity or essence (neut.)
Here the word used by John is `hen' and not `heis'. The marginal notes in New American Standard Bible (NASB) reads; one - (Lit.neuter) a unity, or, one essence.
If one wishes to argue that the word `hen' supports their claim for Jesus being "co-equal" in status with his Father, please invite his/her attention to the following verse:

Jesus said: "And the glory which Thou hast given me, I have given
to them (disciples); that they may be one, just as we are one." (John 17:22).
If he/she was to consider/regard/believe the Father and Jesus Christ to be "one" meaning "co-equal" in status on the basis of John 10:30, then that person should also be prepared to consider/regard/believe "them" - the disciples of Jesus, to be "co-equal" in status with the Father and Jesus ("just as we are one") in John 17:22. I have yet to find a person that would be prepared to make the disciples (students) "co-equal" in status with the Father or Jesus.

The unity and accord was of the authorized divine message that originated from the Father, received by Jesus and finally passed on to the disciples. Jesus admitted having accomplished the work which the Father had given him to do. (Jn.17:4)

Hot Tip (precise and pertinent)
Jesus said: "I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I." (Jn.14:28). This verse unequivocally refutes the claim by any one for Jesus being "co-equal" in status with his Father.
