The Pope does not owe anyone an apology. In Islam's own Jihad they confirm that all infidels must convert or die. The fact that they riot and burn churches and killed a nun only confirms the already known fact that it's a violent religion full of fanatics who want every non-Muslim dead. As far as their being offended, well I'm not sorry at all. I'm offended when they burn my flag. I'm offended when they fly planes into my buildings then cheer in their streets. I'm offended by never hearing an apology from them over the past 5 years. They act like spoiled children who retaliate when they don't get their way. Something will, and must, be done and I'll be on the frontlines when it happens.

There has been lot of controversy to the way the Muslim Leaders
project themselves to the World.
Because of the tactics and political false ethics adopted by few Religious leaders has created lot of doubt on their social Integrity & Social harmony.
First of all The Relogious Leaders should Know what is LOVE TOWARDS HUMANITY and should stop Indirectly supporting to
their Religious Sons (JAGAT--Stupid Concept) and the bottom reality is thesr Organizations should strive to make this world more enduring.
Let those leaders follow true Humanitarian approach then rest of the problems could gets solved.

If the pope apologizes for saying that religious violence is evil, then the cardinals of the Catholic church need to find a way to have him stripped of power and replaced.
Muslims claim the pope called for a new crusade, but they have it completely backwards. He said that violence such as crusades cannot be justified by religion and would never be condoned by God. If the pope recants and apologizes as Muslims wish, THAT would be saying that a crusade against Islam is justified.

I agree that no apology is in order.
It's probably just wishful thinking, but who knows, just maybe, the Pope made his remarks on purpose. It would mean that for a change a European and a world leader has the courage to stand up and say things as they are.

You shouldn't let your ego rule your logic. The fact is the quoted passage offended a group of people....how hard is that to understand. If people do the BIGGER thing and apologize maybe then it will be a sign that is is ok for the other side to apologize....Apology is not a sign of weakness...it is a sign of strength. I ask you to read the words of Jesus (even if you are not Christian) and ask yourself WWJD?
You are looking at it in an old school dicotometric model. Wherby one side is wrong and one side is right. How can both sides win here?

thebaldchemist,
Truly. I'm glad he said what he said. I hope that many say more. I want the radical Muslims to jump like jumping beans at every turn. I want them to get so mad that they don't have a moments peace. And when they begin to see that the world isn't caring at all for their discomfort, they will think that they will want war.
And THAT'S when we knock them down.
