... Tower of Babel.

Why did God scatter his flock of Christians into Lutherians, Pentecostals, Mormons, Baptists, Catholics, Unitarians, Methodists, Greek Orthodox, and Amish and what not?

I've been here for 1 month now and i'm ashamed of our society. This is a global forum and racism exists so blatently wherever we come from. It's also ironic that most of it is directed towards muslims, yet, I haven't seen any posts which condone terrorism, condem western civilisation as being infedels or support the 9/11 bombings (but there maybe there, i've just seen a hell of a lot more racism ones).

Why do we do this?

I find it amusing that people who have lots of money often say that money isn't important. Money isn't going to make you happy etc. Easy to say when you have lots of it. Easy to say when you don't have to worry about where the next paycheck is going to come from or how you're going to pay the next bill. I don't know who said it, but this quote stays with me:"I've been rich and I've been poor. Rich is better". What do you think?

sent a person to hell regardless of the fact that that person has done so much good for humanity but is atheist. What kind of god is that? P.S. I am in no way, shape, or form, trying to bash Christianity. It's just an honest question I have. ~just a girl trying to make sense out of life~

part only have crazy people or older guys try to approach them? Sometimes to me, it seems nice or humbling and other times it really gets on my nerves. I have never had much interaction with people like me or my own age. Lately, it seems that older guys or guys from other races try to approach me, not that it is bad, but it is just weird that people of my age and all don't. Is something wrong here? I am not trying to find a date, I am married. But this has been common occurance for years. Is it me, my pictures, my non-verbal language in public, my friendliness? Is it just my luck? I do not act bad or rude or sluddy if that is what you might be thinking. I just wanted to let you know that much. My friends think I am very nice and that I am a good girl. My husband says I am mean, my coworkers and family-some think I am just a sweetheart. I think I am f-cked up. I don't know. But lately I have gotten some weird stuff-chat on here, and all my life, I attract pple not like me.

...that my biological mother had several abortions after she had my sister and I.

I'm crying now because my mother killed my own siblings... They never got a chance to live, and I don't think anyone has mourned their deaths until now. All I can do is pray that God will have mercy on them...

How can anyone keep a straight face while saying that abortion is ok?

But I didn't get enough responses, so I'm asking it again. Have ya'll figured out by now that points don't matter to me, lol!!

I'm Curious About Something????

Please answer all parts of my question, if you can.

1. Have you ever received an Answers violation?
2. How many?
3. For what reason?

Have any of you ever received an Administrative Notice from Yahoo! Answers?

1. Yes
2. Probably 40- 50. One day I received 17.
3. Usually for chatting, or "Not a question or answer."

I have actually bypassed the Violation Notice and gone straight to Administrative Notice. Must have been a serious offense that time.

Grand prize.....How many of you think this question will be deleted?

If you don't care to read this I understand but here is one of my theories.
I think if super-intelligent beings exist, would they have invented more devices to measure various frequencies. Possible even integrate them into their genetic sciences and alter their brainwave capacity to measure these frequencies and add them to constant thought and would be receptive to them.

In other words, what if our thoughts could be measure by a device or being that could actually hear them with focused intent.

Would that mean this, that if other beings were to reveal themselves to mankind, they would need a mass agreement by US to acknowledge their existence so they wouldn't feel they are violating our freewill.

I think of what if we never advance technologically, we have the stories of beings visiting pre-modern man. What if they knew all along?

Might seem crazy, I know, but something definately to think about.

Thanks for your time.

What do you think?

is this gross?
I was having some guests over for dinner in a couple hours and I needed a good laugh, so I got a pitcher and filled it up with toilet water. I took it to my bedroom and I got a sponge and started to give myself a sponge bath, I made sure to clean my arm pits and neck area very well. I would always ring the sponge back out in the same pitcher and I began to clean my genitals and butt area with the sponge. after ringing the sponge out one final squeeze in the pitcher I took my shoes and socks off and I soaked my damp sweaty feet in it. I cleaned in between my toes and the water was still mostly clear. I spit in the pitcher a few times and stirred it up very well. after I took my feet out I grabbed a pair of dirty underwear and soaked them in it. I gave it one final stir and took the undies out and took the pitcher to the kitchen. I then used the same pitcher of water to make some orange juice and I put it in the fridge....boy it was very hard to not laugh as my guests

If using this argument is silly (which it is) why do so many people base their views of Muslims off of what they see on TV?

Muslim extremists are not true Muslims any more than Fred Phelps is a true Christian. Both are twisting their faith to evil ends.

Before you judge, try talking to an actual Muslim. The vast majority of Muslims hate what the extremists are doing to their religion, and yes, they do speak out about it. There was a Muslim march for peace in Washington DC a few weeks ago, but no one covered it on the news, therefore we never heard about it. Right now, it’s much more profitable for the American public to stay afraid of the foreign threat than to understand and accept it.

It is illogical, unfair, and downright stupid to base your assumptions about an entire race or religion based on the views given to you by a biased media. Make up your own minds, people.

Your thoughts?
