What kind of a world would that be. Would the bushman of deep Africa be condemned. Would the upright Buddhist be condemned? Would the good Jew be condemned? I think and hope not.

Assuming the Bible is indeed "God's Word", or at least that what Jesus is reported as saying on the subject is true, than acceptance of Christ as who he said he was is the criteria for admittance into heaven after this life.
I don't think religious affiliation, being "religious", etc. has anything to do with it.
The latter part of your question is the hard part, no? It comes down to whether the writers of those parts of the Bible were really speaking divine truth. If they were, then it's really is a tough and uncomfortable issue.
When I was younger it seemed rather easy to say "yeah, all those without Christ are going to hell". Nowadays I just hope that God will be merciful to all in some manner that is just by his standards, even to the most "evil" folks. I'd prefer to believe that hell is not a place of eternal physical and mental torment, but rather non-existence. What if heaven is an existence forever with God, whatever that may be like, and hell is no existence?

I suppose I will say this a thousand times and still have to say it some more. Only 144,000 chosen by Jehovah God go to heaven(Revelation 7:1-4 Revelation 14:1-5 Revelation 20:6) to be priests of God and serve as associate kings with Christ Jesus and rule over the earth. The rest of righteous mankind will live forever on the earth. Psalms 37;11,29. Those who do not accept Jesus Christ as their savior and do the will of God will become non existent.

Religious and nonreligious go the heaven.
You will not go to heaven unless Jesus Christ shed blood atones for your sin. Even one sin is not allowed in heaven. That is why one connot see the Kingdom of God unless one is born of God, through heart faith.
I don't know who goes to hell. People go where the dead go be with the dead (sleep), go where the dead are in the sea, or go to death & hell. All are some sort of hell & not heaven. Read Revelation 20. They are part of the last resurrection at The Great White Throne Judgement and are judged according to their works (conscience, land laws, etc...). Then peoples whose names are not found written in the books of life are cast into the lake of fire, the second death.
Personally, I believe every ones names are written in the books of life. Some names are blotted out.

All people will go to heaven for the judgement, but if you don't accept Christ as your savior, then yes, you are going to go to hell and spend an eternity separated from God. There will be two judgements. The first judgement separating the saved from the unsaved. The second judgement will be done by Christ himself. Where he will be judging the Saved according to their works

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Accepting Jesus as your savior is the only way to get to heaven. Everyone who refuses Jesus as their savior, goes to hell. To not accept Jesus as your savior guarantees you a place in hell.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Well that's what we preach. Yup Yup Yup.
If you wanted to be more exact we would say that everyone will be judged by Jesus so its all about your relationship with him unless you have been able to keep all of GOD's law.
So I cant say you are guaranteed to go to hell but I can say that the odds do not appear to be in your favor outside of Jesus.
GOD bless ya!

ya. It says in the BIBLE. God says that you need to accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior to go to heaven. Just being a "good person" doesn't mean you get to go through the pearly gates.

Only God can decide who is going to heaven. Love them all and let God sort them out. Its not for you to judge, and this is a free country. Every person goes to god in their own way, try not to be closed minded. Love your neighbor no matter what religion they are.

Remember that the JUDGE has the final say based on what they knew. If utter rejection was the persons desicion based on scripture I wouldn't hold out much hope but I am not the judge.
