Trusting that there is a God. I mean people say, I need proof, I need proof. The proof is right in front of them half the time and they just don't know it. For example, trees are proof that God exists, he made them right?

2 words explain this phenomenon. Human arrogance.

Human's wanting proof from God of his existence is asserting that God somehow owes them an explanation. These individuals exalt themselves to peer level of God instead of accepting that God is greater than all of creation. This arrogance will keep many humans from the love of God.

This is why many converts only accept Christ when they are in the deepest of human needs. When they are so down and out that they have nowhere else to turn. They can no longer depend on themselves and God is there to still show them love.

The love of God is quite amazing...words can't express this enough.

Why do people have a problem with people who don't believe there's a God? What exactly bothers people like you about that so much? Besides, some people aren't going around saying, "I need proof, I need proof." Some people aren't all that concerned with proving it one way or the other.

As for the "For example, trees are proof that God exists, he made them right?" question, there is no logic to that at all. Where's the "proof" that God made the trees? You're basing your proof on an assumption that you've made. That's not proof. Nor is anything that is written in a book. Pretty much every book I've ever read was prepared by man, and it would be an incredible leap of illogical thinking to assume that anything put down by man's hand would be "proof" of God's existence.

We'll trust that you trust that there's a God. You should reciprocate with regard to those who don't trust that there is.

well the celtic people believe that Leprachauns exist,
i saw a rainbow today, leprachauns are at the end of a rainbow right so a leprachaun must be real right...

now i am actually a Celtic Pagan, and i do happen to believe in leprachauns, and all of the other fey folk. however the existence of a rainbow is not proof of a leprachaun, so the existence of a tree is not proof of god. niether is the bible. it is a book written by men who said that it is gods word.

if you are trying to convince a non-believer then you are barking up the wrong tree.

to the faithful no proof is needed.

to the skeptic no proof is ever enough.

When God freed the Jews from slavery, and all the miracles God done in front of their eyes, fed them bread from the sky, all the wonders, part the Red Sea..... still these people wouldn't believe in God.

So basically these people would be the same even if you gave them proof, even if they saw God come from the sky, some would still be wondering, was that for real.

Did you really say TREES are proof of god? Have you ever taken a science class? Trees would point more towards proof of evolution. What do you care if others need proof? Be smug in your own beliefs and leave the rest of us (including the trees) alone.

Reasons some people dont trust that there is God:

- They have not learned about what happened to our ancestors who did the exact same thing, question about God. Once God sent them a prophet, they would just kill him, and soon after they get burried, burned, etc by God.

- They are not seeing any direct punishment by the lord. i.e. When they say "There is no God" they dont see a tornado poping up from thin air and lifting them away to no where.

Its really as simple as those two reasons above.

We can just wait till the day of judgment, when everyone would just become selfesh beyond measure, forgetting about even his closest relatives and friends, scared from God and wondering about his fate. i think people will regret lots of things.

They need a personal experience with God. Which anyone can have if they just admit they are a sinner and ask Him to come in. Not by mocking him or testing him but by truly, sincerely wanting it.

Most people are to proud to do that.
If they ever go through something that only God can change they'll probably call upon Him.

The problem is you never know if you'll wake up tomorrow to find out.

Do it now while you have a chance.

The Bantu say that trees were created when Mbombo, the white giant, vomited them up from his stomach. There you have proof that Mbombo exists.

Agreed?

If not, then trees are not proof of your god, either.

angelsuns,Everyone knows they have greatness within their own heart.but will not turn to it until their "karma",what they put out comes back onto them so heavy they must seek help.they can not "see" GOD,you can not prove GOD,they must arrive at a contrite heart, seek forgiveness for their "sin" and honestly seek a closer conscious contact with GOD,then they can prove to themselves that GOD exists. Not to worry, the spirit of GOD will guide them from within their own heart, even tho they make their seat in hell. Hold good thoughts for all, pray with LOVE for even the worst . they are all GODS children.

dear one the simple truth to this is ... there are none so blind as those that refuse to see....
dont be angry with them... pray for them. They need Jesus in their lives..
As an example ill ask you... how would you describe yellow to a person born blind with no concept of light or color... and make them truly understand what yellow is....

You cant... you can give them an idea... but to truly understand.... they have to experience it for themselves. Just as being a child of God is something you have to experience for yourself. You can witness to people you can share with them the experiences of your walk with God ... but until they experience it themselves they will never truly understand. Pray for them... pray for them daily and always remember ..... there but by the grace of God go us......
