No God that I know. Sure, God would like people to believe in Him and follow Him, but what matters is how they behave, not what brand of belief system they have, if any.

First of all, God does not send anyone to Hell. Every person is free to make that choice. The Bible says in 2 Peter 3:9 that God is not willing that any should perish but that ALL should come to repentence. Again in Isaiah 64:6 we are told that all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.
John 14:6 says "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me.
You see it does not matter how many good works we do it will never be enough to save us. Only Jesus can do that. He is the only way to eternal life. He has already paid that price for us when He died on the cross for our sins. All we have to do is accept it by believing in Him and accepting Him as our personal savior. The first step for your friend is to acknowledge that God does exist. Once he does that he needs to seek the Lord with all his heart, for when he does that he will find him.

God created us for His glory to worship Him. Just being good, and doing good will not get anyone to heaven. God gave us a love letter. It is the Bible. In it He tells us how to live. He wants us to learn, and be protected from a lot of the things. That is why He tells us about the good, and the bad. He did not make us a robot, He gave us free will. We have to make the choices that we do. He said that He wish that none should perish. People choose to believe what they want. He loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son. It grieves Him when we wont follow Him, but He won't force you to come to Him. Try reading the book of John in the Bible. If you want to make sense out of life. Satan also wants you not to believe in God. He dose believe in God and he still trembles. The more that can go to hell the happier he will be. Satan can come to you as an angel of light. Take care, and may God bless you.

I have learn that God is Love and the hell that most people believe in doesn't exist. The word hell in his original language (Hebrew antique); she'ohl, and in Greek as the second part of the Bible was original written; ha'ides and finally the last antique language Latin; infernus; they all mean the same "under" according to the Larousse New Encyclopedia it didn't try to give the idea such place suppose to be hot or in flames. So this term applies nothing but to the "grave " where everyone ends. There's no suffering nor joy after the death. "For the Living are conscious that they will die, but as for the dead they're conscious of nothing at all...Also their love and their hate have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.(Eccl 9:5,6) But there is hope for the future because God has promised he'll bring back the people we lost in death. Because there is only one way. God is just and fair. He made it so all could enter the same way. Because He is Holy and cannot and will not tolerate sin. One sin is too much and everybody has done at least one sin. No body can be perfect! There is none perfect except Jesus, He was perfect because He was 100% God and 100% Man. That's how He is perfect and also how He understands man when they are tempted. Man used to have to atone for his own sin with sacrificing of animals, but that way failed when they stopped using their best animals for the sacrifices, because blood from a lamb without spot or blemish can only take away sins, but they started using the ones with spots and blemishes or you know with one leg gone or a messed up ear or something, instead of their best. So God sent His best lamb, Jesus to give His life as a sacrifice for our sin, to pay our debt for those who believe. Then we are forever welcomed into His kingdom. Not that we will be perfect from then on out, no, but God will send His spirit to dwell in you as a guide, to help you. And He also sent His word to help you understand Him and know Him, and He did all this because He loves you and doesn't want you to spend eternity in Hell, which is meant for the devil and His fallen angels, but unfortunately others will go there who would not accept Jesus as a payment for their sin, yes even if they lived a good life, if they rejected Jesus, they won't make it in, because no matter how good somebody is they still fall short of God's standards, He is THAT HOLY! But He didn't leave us foresaken, He sent Jesus so we wouldn't have to do that. He doesn't want us to go to hell, He wants us with Him for all eternity, that's why Jesus willingly died for us. If you want to know more let me know.

I didn't see Pt. 1 yet.
To answer this one, though: No matter how much good a person does for humanity, they can't save humanity. Jesus saved humanity because we are all sinners. Even those of us who work for the "common good"--we are not good all the time, nor can we be, and so we need saving.
God doesn't send people to hell. God allows people to remain separated from him eternally, out of respect for their choice. God offers us a choice to accept his gift or not--and if we accept not, that means we don't want God, and so God allows us to remain apart from him, as we so desire. So to answer your question as to "what kind of God would do that," it is a God that allows us to pick and does not force us. If we had no love or respect for God in this life, then we don't have it in any afterlife--since we don't have it. What is the problem with permitting a person to remain separated from God when that is what that person wanted all along?

EPHESIANS 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
We can never "earn" salvation by anything we do other than acceptance of the sacrafice of Jesus Christ when he paid the debt of sin on the cross. If we were able to get into heaven by our own works his sacrafice would be for nothing.. and we could boast about how well we have done in order to earn our place in Gods kingdom. This gives no honor or glory to Christ, You cannot earn nor inherit a place in heaven. Only through faith and acceptance of Jesus Christ.
As for God sending someone to hell.... as others have said here ... God condemns no one to hell they condemn themselves by their denial of Jesus Christ
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Dear one know today that salvation is a free gift of God because of his love for you. Not because of anything you have done or can do... simply because he loves you. It is available to you TODAY... I urge you to speak to someone locally where you are... learn more about the Lord and what he has for you.
God bless you will be keeping you in prayer.

Accept Jesus... then you won´t have to ask this question again. Your next question would be:
Pt 2: What kind of God would accept a sinner and give him eternal life? Our God, the only one. All you have to do, is accept his son´s sacrifice 2000 years ago.

God judges and knows the very heart of man. If you really want to know all about Jesus, and you have access to a bible or at least a New Testament, read through the Book of John. And then if you have any questions, please feel free to email me any time.

Look at it this way, "young one": if you had an outrageously wealthy father who earnestly desired to give you all that he had, yet you spent your lifetime cursing him; refusing to believe what he tried to tell you (in writing, in person, and through other people); refusing to live your life in a way that was pleasing to him because you loved him; and refusing to listen to his commands ... would you expect to be written into the will just because you treated others well?
Probably not.
It's the same with God the Father. His commands are very, very few and He loves all of His creation. Yet, He is rejected unjustly each and every day.
I hope this makes sense. Peace.
