How many will claim Love inspires slavery?

I'm just wondering why so many Christians criticize Joel Osteen?
I tried several churches in Houston before I found a church (Lakewood) that accepted me (a young, never been married, single mom of 3 kids, with several tattoos) and I feel I belong there.
However, everytime I tell someone where I attend church, their eyes roll and all can say is Joel Osteen of Lakewood is a false teacher that leads many astray, so be very careful.

If you agree, how does teaching others to be non-judgemental, maintain a positive attitude, keep faith in Jesus, and count on God's blessings, leading ppl away from God?

I believe in what the Bible says. It says that God will bring peace to the Earth and restore paradise. And the Bible is not just any ordinary book. There is a vast amount of proof that it was truly inspired by God.

hi friends te bible says in mark 9;48 where thier worm dieth not and te fire is not quenched . worm in the bible means soul if uyou reject jesus as your savoiur you burn forever .

stop going to church altogether instead of just trying a different church to go to? When a church does something you don't agree with or you are not comfortable with what they do - don't just stop going to church or stop being a Christian - find another church to go to. Sometimes even another denomination.
I went from Baptist to Church of God which is Pentecostal - ( Like the Assembly of God) You really should just change churches, not just give up on all. And if you say that all churches are like that - then I will call you a liar because I have been to many and they are not all the same. I have been in church for 33 years.So - Just don't give up - it is important to be in church with other believers and to learn and worship together. It is very important.

I lost my father 2 months ago. On the same day an acquaintance tragically lost her teenage son. As of yet, I have not sent a sympathy card to the parents. They are also aware of my family's loss. Is it too late to send a card now?? As a follow up, what kind of wording do you write to someone who has suffered such a tragedy?

So, back in the day there were ice boxes as opposed to our modern refrigerator/freezers. There was no electricity, so the ice man would come and you'd get a big piece of ice for your ice box to keep your food cool all week. But how did the ice man get that ice to sell you with no electricity? Sounds silly, but I have been puzzling over that for the last few weeks for some reason.

Proverbs 30:11-14
There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.

The last twenty to twenty-five years have produced a profound number of unruley people. Most have a total lack of respect and regard for kindness. And this is my own generation I am speaking of before anyone takes offence. So is this the generation the Bible spoke of?
