Bobkgin's back!!!!!!

Their child's life and well being is more important than their own (the parent)

Of the two choices, I would credit love. I also believe it is part of the personality of the rescuer. Many people I know, when faced with a horrific event, just stand there and watch in shock. There are also those who act -- religion does not seem to be a factor from what I've seen.

What a uniquely silly question.

Love for the child should drive you to do whatever you feel necessary to provide care/safety for that child or any other in harms way.

Responsibility and love is what God requires from a parent to/for a child.

Love. But cannot one argue that Love comes from God and that the error of not crediting God for that quality does not negate the causal relationship?

(its really nice to hear from you again!)

Neither, it's the genetically inborn survival instinct that all animals possess. To carry on your genetic lineage, it's important that your genetic material (a.k.a. children) survive. It's the same reason tigers, lions, elephants, etc. protect their children. Unless of course you're willing to admit that animals have souls and commune with God the same way humans do.

God did attempt to rescue everybody. He despatched his personal son (Jesus) in human form to maintain us. Jesus went so some distance as to die for us on the go. And yet we've rejected him by employing the tens of millions (billions?) Eternity (heaven or hell) is reserved in case you've made their decision after God had finished all he might want to to attain out. yet he respects you and delivers the perfect decision of what you'll do with is present of existence. the actual difficulty for YOU in the present day is to think about even if you'll proceed to make excuses or settle for the present it fairly is being offered at present. you may have an eternity loose from the condemnation of sin and recognize that your eternity is take care of with him in heaven. in spite of the undeniable fact that the alternative is yours. The loose present of God is eternal existence for all who trust. each person who lands up everywhere else has finished so because they have rejected God's present. you've probbly heard the in many circumstances happening verse from the Bible, John 3:16. "For God so loved the international, that He gave His in basic terms begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, yet have eternal existence. many human beings have also heard the subsequent verse it really is John 3:17 "For God did not deliver the Son into the international to guage the international, yet that the international might want to be kept by Him. yet many human beings prefer to envision on the the eighteenth verse as well. John 3:18 "He who believes in Him isn't judged; he who does not trust has been judged already, because he has not believed contained in the call of the in basic terms begotten Son of God. everywhere you land up is your decision. God has finished all he can. If he creates you without the loose will to chosen you're in basic terms a robotic and your love has little value. So there it really is. He has given you the right to settle on your eternity and he has despatched his personal son to die on your position as a punishment on your sins. this is as a lot as you.

Atheists and agnostics would do the same thing. If there were no God, would you still do the right thing, or are you one of those people who has to be punished or bribed?
