NEITHER inspired slavery. Slavery was inspired by lust, greed, laziness, and a desire to have power over other human beings.
The Levitical laws concerning slavery were not a "how-to-create-slavery" manual to the people of Earth. Slavery already existed before Leviticus was written, and loooooong before Moses was born. Did you forget that? The Levitical laws simply applied some measure of control to a human practice already in place, even going so far as to give slaves rights!
Did any pagan countries do that?

Love honors all people as being of equal value so that slavery is unthinkable. This Love can come from a correct understanding of God or without acknowledging a God at all, as a dear friend as convinced me.
