No. Anyone could become a preacher. There is more than one form of Christianity that has had problems with their priests. I have no more respect for a preacher than for anyone else.

A preacher wouldn't tell you to go to Hell, they would warn you that if you don't repent and believe, you will go to Hell.

No, I'm more offended. A preacher should read in the Bible where it says, "Judge not, lest ye be judged" and be an example for others.

I would not be offended if a preacher told me to go to Hell because I know that we ALL deserve to go to Hell and it's by God's mercy that we have the potential to go to Heaven.

Next time anyone tells you to go to Hell tell them. "We all fall short of the glory of God and deserve to go to Hell. It's by His mercy and love that we don't have to go. It's not your option unless of course you think you are ABOVE God"

Actually, during the last of my forced confessions in catholic school, a priest outright said I was hellbound. It was almost as traumatic as my mother asserting that Santa was going to leave me a big lump of coal if I didn't behave.

heck no. i'd quit seein' that preacher if he told me to go to hell. i'd probably smack him. yeah yeah give me a bad answer people fine. just cuz he's a preacher doesn't mean he's jesus. if jesus told me to go to hell i'd be like "yes, lord."

PS: hell isnt like a burning inferno. its just death. that's all hell is. k?

No, because they actually believe it's a place of misery and torture, so they are really wishing you pain and suffering. When an intelligent (read: non-religious) person says it, it is merely an idiom with no real harm intended.
