Does wearing long track pants pass as gym wear?

I need to wear gym wear for the shuttle run for entry into the Army. Would they accept me wearing trackpants?

Beavers are certainly very industrious, and I think it implies that Japanese people are hard working too, so if anything I'd consider it almost a compliment to Japanese people, but before I really thought about it I wasn't so sure... When I first heard it I thought... Hey that's not very nice comparing Japanese people to beavers...

What do you think? Is this a saying to avoid or is it okay?

Just to clarify my contexts of the words "wise" and "intelligent":

A wise person who is able to weigh which is more important in life.

An intelligent person is the one who is able to get to the bottom of academic answers.

Do we call people who are able to remember or memorize information "Intelligent" just because of that ability?

"If any man come to me, and not his father, and mother, and wife. and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:26. Hey! I like my mom! What good is the Bible if this stuff is in it? Check out Matthew 10:34-37, and Luke 12:51-53 where this sick hatred is repeated.

I know so many Christians who say that tattooing is wrong... but why? Most Christians refer to this verse

lev 19:28 "you shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead, or tattoo yourselves; I am the Lord."

But I think that it's out of context the verses before it say

verse 26 says "you shall not eat any flesh with the blood in it". So philipinos, no more blood pudding and for the Irish folks you've got to give up black and white pudding (which actually might be a good idea anyway). verse 27 says "you shall not round off the hair on your temple or mar the edges of your beard." got that guys? no more trimming your beard or the hair on your temples, you've gotta let it grow like the hasidics.

So why does that verse get so picked upon when we clearly don't follow the rest of the rules?

I don't have tattoos just because i don't like pain, not because i think it's wrong. Do you think that Christians can have tattoos that are glorifying to god?

Do they cover up the BBQ by saying it's "FAMILY" with the intentions of keeping BLACK NEIGHBORS away from their home and back yard?

Are WHITE people two faced and back stabbing in your neighborhood?

READ THIS BEFORE YOU ANSWER, PLEASE.

So many people on this forum seem so preoccupied with telling Atheists and Pagans and Muslims that they "still have time to come to Christ!" and will burn in hell without him that they have failed to see Jesus' truest and most important teachings: teachings like "let him who is without sin cast the first stone", which cries out against the blatant persecution I see on these forums. Teachings like "do unto others as you would have them do unto you," which calls for universal love and kindness. Jesus advocated universal compassion, so why do so many of his so-called followers ignore that core rule of Christianity?

And I don't want any stupid, snarky answers like "there are no good Christians," because that's a stupid, generalized lie. And no, I'm not generalizing myself here, Christians. I know that many Christians are accepting and kind, but so very many others twist Jesus' teachings to persecute others. And no, I am not Christian myself. But I think Jesus was a really, really nice guy, and I think maybe he really was the son of a god.

Oh, and please don't use this as an opportunity to tell me to convert. ._.

If it was the 15th of August would you write 8/15/06 or 15/8/06? Is the first version the way Americans write it and then the other version the way the rest of the world writes it? Thank you.

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
(Numbers 23:19)

My thoughts are that it means what it says - God is not a man (Jesus Christ was a man). God doesn't lie. Because God doesn't lie - he need not repent. What he says is good (faithful) - he'll carry it out. You can rely on him.

What are your sound thoughs?

After the attacks of 911 I felt most proud of the president of the USA. He had a moving memorial service with people of all faiths.
He helped unite this country, the only time I felt us all coming together. No matter how you feel about him or anyother elected official we are to pray for them.

Look it up in any encyclopedia. Those Christian anti-Semites were guards in the concentration camps. The Christians fought in the Nazi army. Ministers and priests of the time supported Hitler in books and newspaper articles that exist to this day. Pope Benedict was a member ot the Hitler Youth. Because Germany lost, Christians have tried to distance themselves from what they did.

God made animals. Genesis 1:20-25 describes creatures of the water, air, and land.

God saved animals. Genesis 6:20 says they were "to be kept alive" in the ark during the flood.

God cares about animals. Jonah 4:11 shows this care. "But Ninevah has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about that great city?" (NIV)

Man should care. Proverbs 27:23 "Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds …" (NIV)

God wants animals unharmed. Isaiah 65:25 declares "The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox … They will neither harm nor destroy in all my holy mountain, says the Lord." (NIV)

Yet, only man is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26) with the power of free choice (Joshua 24:15). Thus Biblically, man is the only part of creation to which salvation can be offered to be accepted or rejected.
