General Christianity might think this. But there are some religions that believe that there are other inhabited worlds like ours. We just don't know were they are, nor does it matter to our "salvation". Unless they decide to come across the universe to invade us.

The same was scientists support the idea that other planets can not support life!
A science lesson #1
L = life
f = chance
Let us give for each chance a 10 or 1 in 10 chance of life
planet size, to large and the life will be crushed.
L = fz or for each planet of this size or smaller give 10 chance, easy right! ok
atmosphere any a planet must have a large enough size to Maintain an atmosphere so
L = fz * fa which now = 1/100 or 1 in a hundred
Oxygen needed for life in some form so fo for oxygen in the atmosphere
L = fz * fa * fo = 1/1000 or 1 in a thousand
and we keep going
we come down to a very long formula with a result of
1/1 (and 55 zeros) or 1 chance in (1 followed by 55 zeros)
You will realize that you would have a better chance of being bit by a shark and struck by lighting at the same instant while in a deep mine in the desert in july!

Wait a minute! Shouldn't you first be giving us the evidence that other planets support life? Why should Christians be on the defensive over what you cannot prove in the first place?

I not know. Being a Christian I know God is the God of the living and have told people for many years there life on other planets. One is the moon around Jupiter, I think it Europa. I assume it has much aquatic life under the frozen surface. Actually NASA had a space probe there for a long time, not remember it's name. When it's mission was over they crashed it into Jupiter so it burn up in the Atmosphere. They did not want to take a chance it crash on Europa and contaminate the moon just in case there is life on that moon. Cool huh?

There is (I believe...) NO reference in the Bible that categorically states - either way - whether there is life on other worlds. This is an issue that is open to debate (and, of course, scientific inquiry).
My Personal Opinion: God has enough trouble getting us to do the right thing on THIS world, so why confuse the already confused human beings by bringing up what happens on other worlds?
" I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?"
- Jesus Christ, A.D. 30 (John 3:12, Bible, New International Version)

No it cant no religion is greater then science.People say where science ends god begins but science also need dedicated individuals so give science the time to expand its wings only then men may show how true science is.People just like to belive in god because they do not want to think of other possibilities or rather they are scared to think of it.What proof does the bible or the mahabharat give to defend the existance of dinosaurs big bang??????????So bible CANNOT give you any proof to defend that life does not exist.If life is not there elsewhere its just because of inhospitable environment which too can be explained scientifically.

I am a Christian, and I believe that there is life on other planets. You'll have to be specific and narrow down which branches of Christianity you are talking about.

Until we actually find another planet in the universe with life I will withhold judgement.

I've never heard of this being a part of Christian doctrine. In fact, the one clue we have is Jesus saying he has sheep of a another flock. This has been interpreted as anotherr earth region / or space / time continuum.
