The book of Psalms, chapter 19:1, states, " The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of his hands".
All intelligent design has a designer. All houses have builders. The universe was made in perfect balance. The sun was made the perfect distance from the earth to sustain life. The earth was created to receive the sun and create vegetation.
Before men made up an erroneous theory that the earth is flat, and that if one were to supposedly go beyond a certain point, they might drop off the world, the book of Isaiah 40:22 says, "He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers." The Bible told of the earth as being a circle before science ever discovered this. The Bible also states in Genesis, that God created everything according to it's own kind. This would be backed up with the animal kingdom being able to multiply only according to it's kind. (You cannot cross a monkey with a rabbit) Men are not currently mutating into monkies, nor are monkies currently mutating into men. You cannot cross a monkey with a man because they are not from the same family tree, and because they were created to reproduce only according to it's own kind. However, you can breed a horse to a donkey. The end result being a sterile mule. Why? Because a donkey and a horse is in the same family. However, the mule is sterile because it has reached the limit of its own kind. These are just a few examples of how we know that the Bible account of how we got here is the most accurate. We were created in God's image with a body that no scientist can duplicate. The body itself being a wonderous, fine tuned machine, supports the Bible when it says that we were made in an fear inspiring way.
We also were created with a desire to worship, because our Father put that in us so that we would always be connected to, and able to talk with Him.
Yes, God is real and He loves us. I don't need proof, but if you do, there is plenty in science that backs up the existance of our great and awesome Father.

If you're looking for a white haired, bearded guy sitting on his throne you probably won't ever find proof of that. However god is a personal entity according to an individuals values and beliefs. You can find solid proof of that everyday in actions and words. Yeah it might defy logic and might not even make scientific sense, but that doesn't make it any less real and tangible to people that believe it or want to give what they can not fully explain a name.

When I look at my hand and see an amazing machine that has yet to be duplicated in thousands of years of scientific development, I believe.
When I listen to my heart beating without me ever giving it a second thought, I believe.
When I see a world built with such natural balance, with the sun feeding plants, the plants giving back to the air we breathe, and all of us made for such a place, I believe. The world is just too cleverly made to be a cosmic accident.
When I type away on a computer, to someone thousands of miles away, using technology that was created by mere mortal minds, you cannot help but stand in awe of their creator and believe.
Those I would call tangible proof, but the tangible reasons are the least of which to believe. God is proof of goodness, and goodness proof of God.

There is no "solid, tangible" proof. If you have ever watched a baby being born, or watched someone die, or taken the time to look around you at the wonders of nature, you have to know that this is not all a coincidence.
Find a dictionary and look up this word: FAITH.

LOL what solid proof do you have of the breeze?
God (Truth) is felt and leaves no proof except for those who seek. The proof is in the circumstantial, I may see your scarf flutter and attribute it to the breeze just as one may see how I live my life and attribute it to my belief in Truth.

ARGUMENT FROM UNINTELLIGENCE
(1) Okay, I don't pretend to be as intelligent as you guys — you're obviously very well read. But I read the Bible, and nothing you say can convince me that God does not exist. I feel him in my heart, and you can feel him too, if you'll just ask him into your life. "For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son into the world, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish from the earth." John 3:16.
(2) Therefore, God exists.
