i have always found it hard to find a direction-when i do than my mind changes-i do not even have children or a family yet, I'm still in limbo sailing to i don't know island-i keep stalling and don't know what to do or think-i'm hoping that with what i am doing in some way or form i'm doing gods will-i just get depressed and not very happy with myself-sometimes i don't know where to start because i get overwhelmed too easily. how do i keep my chin up and feel like i have led a fulfilling life-i fill like i missed the boat and i'm still stranded. I'm exploring the island, but not accomplishing much. at times i'm happy with my life and at times i'm not. I need to stop feeling like i'm a piece of loser doo doo because of this. Any insight on how to help me feel like i am a special magical person and that it is okay to be where i am at this moment, and that it is not too late-is it too late to start my life over-it's almost like i missed the bus and that my destination is3,000mi walk

I hate to see Christmas being replaced with Xmas! It kills me that people are taking Christ, the reason for the season, out of such an important day/time of the year! Any thoughts?

Why can people not accept that some children are not as clever as others, 50 years ago if someone was not as academically gifted as other children there were no excuses.
Now days if a child isn't as clever as his peers he is told he is "dyslexic"!
Is being "dyslexic" just a condition invented to make children who are not very good at school (and their parents) feel better or does it actually exist?

I found 25 cents on the sidewalk last night and it has been haunting me. Should I take it over to the police station and voluntarily turn it in? I am an honest person and it has been bothering me ever since.

My favourite is Holt McCallany, I could just melt in his presence.

Why is it that some of my fellow Christians believe in the prophetic dreams or other similar events (otherwise known as psychic phenomenon) described in the Bible (even taking every story as literal fact), but don't believe that those kinds of events can happen now?

I am not a Christian and I hope someone can help me find out why Jesus is always depicted in films and tv as a white man. When Madonna's 'Like a Prayer' video came out there was a black jesus in it caused outrage (as well as some other things in the video)
If Christians believe that Jesus was the son of God and they also believe he lived in an arabic part of the world why can't they comprehend he had dark skin?

I saw on the Discovery channel a man who was interviewing a primative group of people who live in the Indonesia area.

This man has studied these people for the past 20 years and was now interviewing them on the topic of how they survived the tsunami, when they were in the pathway of it....

A spokes person for the group said that life is like living in a tree. There are negative forces trying to shake you out of the tree and there are positive forces trying to help you stay in. To survive, you must recognize this.

When they saw the water retract far away from the shoreline, although they had never seen this before, they new that this was a "bad" force and they ran for the hills were they were above the flood line and survived.

As a spiritual person I can relate to what they are talking about....I believe that this is a great example of the term "salvation." What do you think?

this is how I feel about it:
If they would just follow the law (don't marry underage girls, educate their children, ect.,) I don't see how it could be such a problem, because the men are only legally married to one woman, they just have other women having thier children...but of course I don't know that much about it.

Okay, so faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. And, faith is a gift of God. Acts 16:31 says, “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”. It doesn't say accept, it says believe. Given to you, you don't have to make a choice for it. So why do we have to go any further than that except by responding with a prayer of thanks rather than a prayer of acceptance, as if we were signing for a package? No need to sign, it's YOURS!

I grew up in Miami and the Santerians were always putting hexes on people. What I really couldn't stand was when they sacrificed an animal in a suburban yard. The animal would be begging for it's life. That would ruffle me. Ever hear of this belief?
