Do you believe someone is recording your internet surfing and postings?

I continue to find this hard to believe.

You find it hard to believe? Yahoo! uses what are called "Web Beacons" which do exactly that. Do a search on that. You can opt out of it. I have.

Yes, I do believe there sis some one eavesdropping on my internet surfing and postings, and it is the USA federal government. It is in the name of national security. I had seen the story on the CBS News news magazine, a number of years back in the early 1990's and they use satellites and very powerful computers. I have written all of my e-mails for the intentions of some one else besides the receiver to read them, so privacy over the internet has never been trusted in my book.

I find that hard to believe, now at least. Not too long ago though every move I made was being monitored by my husband. I have a restraining order against him now though, so I am pretty sure he is not stalking me anymore.

Well, even if he is still monitoring my every move I am sure he will get bored quickly since he is not very religious or spiritual.

yes. its easy to log all the traffic. sifting through it all is the hard part. therefore, they search keywords and target specific individuals. however, if "they" ever want to get the goods on you, they can go back and key on you!

"just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after you!"

it pisses me off when people say "i dont care, i'm not doing anything wrong"...ignorance is bliss i guess...we'll see how much they care when the Thought Police come knocking. I wonder how many of those people would volunteer to record all their conversations and send them to the government. They say they wouldn't mind...until the day comes.

Yes. It is called Echelon. It is under Washington, D.C. It is acres and acres of super computers that frankly do it all. It is run by the NSA.

Or see here for the FBI's Carnivore System : http://www.howstuffworks.com/carnivore.htm

But, the public got wind of it and it was stopped in its tracks.

Yahoo now has a huge database for the FBI profilers. Imagine being able to profile everyone here based on all your answers.

I believe someone probably is because of the technology available. It doesn't really matter though because all i'm doing is answering peoples questions.

I've had my fare share of key loggers, not that I understand the point of them since I never use my PC for private, personal stuff.

Not to say I'm paranoid, but yes, I wouldn't doubt it for a second. Have you tried to send emails to Europe lately? Can't go either way. We're isolated. Big Brother is watching....
Ahhhhhh! There, I feel better. Thanks.
