I know in Canada International Women's Day is March 8th as well, however the week running up to the 8th is also designated International Women's Week.
From what I've observed the US doesn't seem to ' celebrate' it that openly.

Yes, International womens day is celebrated all over the world. It is always the same day (8 March) so it is valid in USA as well even if it may not be celebrated.
It is a UN event, have a look at http://www.un.org/events/women/iwd/2006/

There is no international Women Day celebrated in the USA and there have not been for years or as long as I had been alive, also in Japan there is a national children's day, and that never existed here in the USA either.

In England every day is everybodies day I think. Is there also a men's day or do they get the remaining 364 days in Russia?
