There are three types, from what I've seen:
1) Anti-religious folks who are obsessed with trying to tear down religion, specifically Christianity.
2) Religious folks who are engaged in defending their faith from attacks from (1) above.
3) Nutballs who post nonsense (CPT, What Should I Do Idiot, Raaa Monster, etc)
If you're here, chances are you fall into one of those three buckets.

As far as religious answers, people who don't know who else to ask. The ones just looking for debate are pretty messed up, a debate is two-sided and this is simply question and answer, not debate. They should go to a messageboard for debate.

This may not be the forum you would consider first for scholarly or professional advice, but a wise scholar can see the universe in a drop of water. This is real and free (not $-wise) and FAST. People on here say things they wouldn't anywhere else...even their lies are more honest. This is a "masks off" kind of connection, and it is very valuable for certain types of learning and interaction. Plus I get cool links from people.

People who maybe think that there is more to what they know about a subject and want to get a fresh point of view or people that just feel the need to help someone.

As I see it, it is for those who are basically looking for a verbal cockfight. keep pecking at each other until one bleeds, all converge on the bleeder, bleeders out, then fresh chicken comes in and repeats process.
