Some would define it as someone who believes in God and Jesus Christ, and others would add other requirements as well. Opinions?

Yes, yet another serious question from me. Please answer accordingly.

This is a serious question.
I would like a resume of factions in the middle east (shiites, sunni, etc) - where they're from, what are their differences, can they reconcile these differences, and examples of breakdown by country would be nice too.
Thanks - always have to try and understand the world better.
(Again, seriously, I will be asking the same thing of my "christian" friends soon, but I think the response may be more complex).
Take it easy!

Is Vanity a sin?

Like for example, I tend to look at the mirror a lot to check my hair. I don't do it to see my looks.

A lot of people tend to be obsessed with looks and style. Is it a sin?

I watch some of the multimillionire televangelist on tv(rarely), politicians, etc. A lot of them believe if Jesus were here today-he'd be a card carrying member of the Republican party. Maybe Jesus wants to cut all social spending to fund tax cuts for the rich??

Why do some people think Jesus is a Republican?

1) The person who refuses to accept any evidence that their scripture may have flaws, even when the flaws are obvious?

or

2) The person who can accept the idea that there may be some flaws in their scripture, but who still believes in the overall message.

By "flaw" I mean
1) contradictions (e.g., Saul died in 4 different ways according to the bible, which is a neat trick http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/saul.html)
2) errors (e.g., according to the bible, a bat is a bird)
3) intolerance/bigotry (eg., the bible commands women to stay silent in church)
4) injustice (e.g., the penalty for being a disobedient child is death, according ot the bible)

etc.

Personally, I think that the second person demonstrates more faith because they believe enough in the message that they can handle acknowledging such things and having to slip into rationalization or denial to cover them up.

What do you think?
