I live in America and while I smoke there should be some places where you shouldn't, schools, hospitals, government buildings...but when did this society decide that smoking was the ultimate evil...I mean more people die from drinking all the time, not just alcohol poisoning from frat boys either, drunk driving accidents, domestic violence, murders, rapes, alcohol can be a major factor in all of these, yet our society allows sporting events to be sponsored by beer and liquor producers and there commercials run on TV all the time...I just think it's a little messed up to focus almost solely on tobacco and leave alcohol alone (you know some big wig CEO paid off Congress on that one)!

I am sick of inconsiderate smokers hacking away and forcing their smoke on us and their poor children who have no choice but to breath it in. The laws did not come soon enough as far as I am concerned. There is no such thing as a none smoking section, well, not to the smoke as it travels through the none smoking section of a restaurant. If they do not like the laws they do not have to come here at all.

I think that though they say America Land of the Free----government has taken that away from the citizens. I used to smoke and though I do like going to places where there is no smoking, I find it wrong that just because you smoke your rights have been taken from you. Soon you won't be able to smoke in your own front yard. And also...........what has the most taxes on it....oh yeah the cigarettes!

Cigg. smoke is not the only thing that is polluting the air, look at how many cars that are on our highways, and all the chemicals that are out there. Yes, I am a smoker, and have been, my lungs and those around me are fine. Anything in excess, is not good for you. You, have to be a courtious smoker, and that is what I am. They should have specail restaurants etc. for us that do like to smoke.then maybe we would all be happy.

I hope you stay away if you want to smoke here. Smoke causes health problems and slowly kills people, so it should be strictly regulated. Some smokers distort things, like religious nuts do. Freedom of choice is not about freedom to kill people with your vile smoke. Freedom to breathe takes priority. Smoking is a privelege, not a right, and it can be removed if it is abused.

You also want to give New Zealand a miss, plus Ireland and Scotland... and get to England by next year.

However, they don't care where they smoke in Greece... butchers, banks, etc.

Our government can't get anything done except restrict the freedoms of its citizens. They are passing an ordinance here in Indiana where 25% of the people smoke! It's crazy!
