My mom's church started by renting out a middle school cafeteria on Sunday's and posting signs for the church. You should probably have a core group before you start all that. Their church is now huge. They just built a multi-million dollar facility in the last couple of years and have hundreds of members. I'm not a church person, but that seems like a good place to start. Good luck!

If you've been a Youth Pastor for 12 years and you have to ask on Yahoo how to start a church -- you shouldn't.

I guess you might get some followers, then buy some land and build a building and name it after a Saint or something. Then design a service schedule, and make a youth group. Also get a music group together and a book of songs. Also make sure you have the supplies you might need (such as Communion in the Catholic religion) and get a good supply of them.

Pretend to know something about the bible, get a building, ask for lots of money, where fancy suits, forget to pay your taxes because you are a "religious order" (cough-Joyce Meyer!), and buy some nice cars.

Get a building.

Put a cross on it.

Hand out colorful flyers.

Wait a week.

Someone will come.

Closing it would be easier and better for your soul.
Many Christians were concentrating on seeking Christ at His second advent; and their sincerity has been rewarded.
Now it is already too late, please speed up.
Peace be with you.
