Wine then wasn't as strong as it was now. Jesus was a social drinker.
We are told in the Bible not to drink in order to get drunk. I'm certain Jesus didn't get a bottle just to kick back with the apostles after a long day of preaching.

when a wizard or a witch performs a spiritual ritual, at the end to drain away excess energy they do a small ritual called cakes and ale or in this case bread and wine. either this is copied from that. or jesus himself was finding a way to drain off all the power he wasnt using. the digestion takes excess energy and uses it to churn and mix the items in the stomach and gastric tract. and often the food and liquid itself absorbs energy too making it pass out of the body in our waste. we call this grounding. in fact this is where fasting comes from. a wizard or witch will fast for a period of time and the purpose is to get all the energy away from the body and its functions so that it can be used in a spell or ritual. the longer you spend not eating the less the subconscious has to work on you body. there are a lot of things going on in the simple digestion of eating. the longer you go without eating and the more this food passes from you, the more all that energy is there to use. hope this helps.

The Big J knew better than to get tipsy. Just crimps his style. Other Christians got loaded now and then....wasn't there some guy who got smashed, then slept with his daughters in a cave? Lots of things you read in the Bible make "Desperate Housewives" read like the Bobsey Twins.
Anyway, JC was a social drinker. That water-to-wine biz got him invited to many Biblical frat parties.

The wine that Jesus drank was new wine which was merely grape juice. No He did not get drunk. He was without sin.

How safe was the water in those days? Crocodile dung was used as a contraceptive, but it's questionable whether it helped the taste of water.

Jesus wouldn't have known either way if it was a sin, unless he was proof reading the first scriptures. I think Jesus was a man, therefore drinketh nuff stuff and yeah shall falter.

There is no record of Jesus getting drunk. He taught self restraint, and no sin was found in Him. He did not inherit a corruptible nature, and He obeyed His Father without failing.
