When asked what religion I am I always say Christian because I feel all the names of denominations are manmade. The bible doesn't say Apostolic, Pentecostal, Baptist and so on. If we follow Christ that makes us Christians so we should all go by Christians, right? Well, I am chastised by my husband alot by not saying what denomination am. Do you feel I am right or wrong? He thinks I am disowning my faith.

Think about it, aren't most religious people whacko? There's no distiction between the voice of God in the days of old and the schizophrenic in the nearest psych ward hearing voices who thinks he's Jesus.

I won't ask why you left your religion because I am actually glad that you did. Religion is not what He asked us to have in the first place. He asked us to have faith in Him and believe that He is. He did not ask us to be methodist or pesbiterian or catholic or any thing else that's out there. He asked us to be followers of Him. All those things came from men who decided to make up thier own form of faith to try to get us to live by rules. Why? There are no rules in Christ. Only promises that come from God if we accept Christ and live as family on this earth.
Point being that if you could find that one church that represents Jesus for who He really, is would you go? To be in a church is to be covered in prayer because when one hurts we all hurt and when one is rejoicing we rejoice together.
That is family ...that is the kingdom of God. Forget about your sins and what ever else someone condemned you for. God doesn't care about that. He loves you right where you are at.

I am a religious jew, and i am curious to know what others think of judaism. with the recent war in israel (my grandparents actually live real close to haifa and thank G-d they weren't hurt), i am just curious to know if the baised media has really affected ppl and if most ppl actually think that israel was at fault.

also, i am curious to know how everyone feels about jews and judasim in general.

Is this person's question philosophically unnassailable? Is evolution just a science fiction?

With logic like this, why do we mock God and Christians?

Or, are we not brainwashed, because of things like evidence and repeatable scientific expiriments.

Without going into too much detail - my ex-flatmate got thrown out of my house for coming onto my landladys daughter (she refused and is terrified of the guy). I think he's taken a dislike to me because i get on cool with said daughter. Now he's convinced we're sleeping together, my girlfriend is visiting this week (she only visits once a month) and he has already tried to tell her that he needs to talk to her about something "very important". He's never even met my gf before. She is suspicious. I'm scared. He seems to have it in for me! What the F**K do i do???????

i am an indian teenager and im 14 yrs old(about to turn 15 in less than a month) and ill have to go to a new schol from september 5th....i came to canada from india last year and the school i went had 90% indian kids....now ill have to go to a school in which majority are white people and im scared that theyll discriminate and all..............so are white teenagers good sports and are they nice??!!! AND WHY AM I ALWAYS SCARED OF GOING INTO NEW SCHOOL?

The only reason I put this q in this section is because I knew alot of Wiccans come here. I have two revised jingles. Please give honest answer. These are not mine so dont delete me!!!

First one is sung in the tune of Yankee Doodle:
"Yankee Doodle went to town, Ridin on an oven, Got so hot it burned his @$$, and tried to join our coven."

The next one is sung in the tune of Jingle Bells:
"Jingle Bells, George Bush smells, Shakira laid an egg, The Christians lost all their minds, and us Wiccans said oivhay!!"

Can anyone tell me where I can find a book of aramaic text? It was the origional language of christ. A friend of mine said I would have to go back to Europe to get one but I am hoping to find something in the US. Anything would help. I am studing to be a religion historian and this is my favorite thing to read...aramaic that is.

My best friend is struggling with homosexuality. And his ex boyfriend along with their roomate all say they were born that way. But..2 out of the 3 were sexually abused as children. Why do people seem to skate over such an obvious reason for someone being gay. And why do people get upset on here just caus I don't share the same views they do? Isn't that discrimination? I love my best friend with all my heart along with his ex boy friend and roomate. But why do people seem to think employing tough love is not love? I do not condone their actions just as parent would not condone their child stealing, but they still love the child do they not? Love is not always easy right? Sometimes love requires doing what is best for the person right? And why have we accepted as a generation that our forefathers which built this country would not approve of? Have we all forgotten this nation was built on Godly principles or do we just want to skate over that fact as well? Since when is truth not love?

because jews never killed jesus. the Romans did, and crucifixtion was a punishment that only the romans and muslim empires had in store for people. (and islam even justifies crucifixtion)

Without all the garbage man has put into 'Christianity' and find a real answer to questions like:

"Why does God permit suffering?"
"What happens to us when we die?"
"What does the future hold for man?"
"Who really was Jesus, and what is he doing now?"

Would you be willing to actually sit down and learn it, if someone could show you scriptures to back EVERYTHING up? Would you be willing to set aside any frustration with the taint man has put into religion to do this, then make a real, educated decision?
