Contact the local diocese. They can help you contact the convents, if it would be appropriate. It can be rude to try to phone some types of convents without a very specific and allowed reason. Better to involve the diocese so they can give you guidance as to how to proceed.

For covens, you look them up locally at http://www.witchvox.com under local groups. If you are looking for a group like ones in the movies, give it up as they just do not exist outside of one's imagination.
