I’m living in India – it’s almost six years now that I’ve left Europe for good – and I’m used to a life on bare soles: I haven’t worn shoes since December 2000 (with a few exceptions!) and I don’t think I’ll EVER imprison my feet again! I'm always barefoot: All-year-round, wherever I go, whatever I do. Most of my friends have never seen me wearing shoes… WHY? That’s a question I’ve heard a thousand times. Well, it’s not a kind of “fashion statement”… Walking barefoot is AMAZING!!! If you’re barefoot you’re able to FEEL the ground! Would you wear gloves all-year-round? Nopes! So: Why shoes? Being in touch with Mother Earth, letting the energy flow freely isn’t that bad, after all… Right? Plus: It’s very refreshing and stimulating (ever heard about the reflex zones in our feet?)! Join me for a rather longish hike, preferably in the mountains, and let’s see who gets tired first! Walking barefoot is stimulating: In every sense! There’s more: The ecological impact is far less dramatic (erosion!) if you’re hiking in a natural environment (ever thought about what your heavy hiking boots do to the ecosystem?). It’s also communicative to a degree you wouldn’t expect: Travelling a lot I’ve made more than one friend explaining WHY I’m roaming around barefoot! Somehow you’re more defensive, less aggressive if barefoot… There are many aspects, but what really counts is the sensual factor: The “barefoot feeling”! It’s not only about feeling the ground beneath our soles, every change in texture or temperature, the difference between lawn and concrete, tar and marble, but also about feeling free – in many ways! If you don’t know what I mean: Leave your shoes at home and experience the freedom, the freshness, the air touching every inch of your feet… Try it once and you’ll never want to wear those “little prisons” again! Do you know what I mean? Have you ever tried it barefoot?

Someone asked me today what meaning 8-22 had to Islam. Some "expert" was on TV talking about it the other night.

for instance, when they made a bet about Job, could they have bet for "pink slips"? Could God lose his soul to Satan in a wager? Would God be a man and fork it over?

I personally am not and would be hurt and angry if my husband went to one. I am just curious to see if other wives out there would be ok with that, would go WITH thier hubbys ... or if they think it's unacceptable and maybe even disrespectful to them and their marriage?

My hubby says "I have my wife at home, why do I need strip clubs?"

Insight, anyone? ;)

Suppose this time that a man is muslim. He has been taught to be skeptical of Christianity just like you are skeptical of Islam. You can't just ignore their arguements can you?!?!?!

Jesus Word is in his heart (we are told it is written there), and he seeks God fervently. God, seeing that a man is seeking Him lets him find Him.

He believes Jesus to be a prophet. He is a reasonably good man.

Do you think Jesus word condemns him (can he be with God in Heaven)?

So many people in other countries can speak English really well. I know that English is effectively the 'international language' and that's why so many learn it, but do you think we should still make more of an effort to learn say, French or Spanish or something? Or do you think it's a waste of time?

I'm not just talking about learning Bonjour and Adios in school, I mean learning it so you can actually use it.

Hi, I would really like to learn Japanese and Spanish. I was wondering which one it would be better to learn first. I don't want to get them confused or slow my progress in either one, but I'm also impatient and want to study them both. How long do you think it would take to learn enough of Japanese or Spanish that I could begin studying the other without getting too slowed down? Thank you!

this isn't really a question, actually it's my way of telling you that muslims DONT worship that black rock.they worship GOD (the creater of everything).the rock is just a means which god used to unify the direction of worshippers worldwide.so that all muslims will be performing their ritual in the same direction.you know, so people won't get confused where to point at while performing it.

I come from Wyoming and find it pretty odd that when i speak to people from different states (either from the east or west coast) some people have no clue that in Wyoming we do have electricity and that we too drive cars. We also have regular toilets (not outhouses), but some people i talk to that have never been to Wyoming, tend to think we still live like the old west. Do schools teach people the wrong information when it comes to Wyoming? Or are some people just ignorant? This question is not to offend anyone, i just want to understand why some people think Wyoming is way behind its time.

Is it acceptable to racial profile all Muslims while in Airport security? I mean, they did blow up those planes on 9/11 and now tried it again.

And if so, is it acceptable to profile all fundamentalist Christians who come within 500 feet of an abortion clinic? I mean, they did blow up 18 of those clinics already.
