This is a question based off a response I read to another question.

Is this a prominent belief between Protestants (restorationist, reformist, fundamentalist)?

If so on what authority, evidence and knowledge do you have it that the Bible is in itself the "Word of God"?

How can you suppose that you are not lacking information?
(e.g. Council of Nicea discernment of the "Inspired Works")

I'll hang up and listen.

P.S. I'm not Catholic, Orthodox, or Anglican or anything similar.

this german guy told me that they always laugh at americans. he said that american men are feminine, because they eat lunch at some fast food joint drinking soda pops.

he said german men eat lunch and drink a beer with their lunch and its legal there.

he also said its gay to drink beer from a can. he said germans never drink beer from a can only from a bottle.

all of this pissed me off. why do they make fun of us there??

I was at a public pool this past weekend and I was noticing how fat everyone is!! I don't think when I was young that people were so grossly fat.. the worse of it is, is that the kids are so fat!

Why do parents do that to kids and let kids do that to themselves?? Its depressing!!

I am american, and am bilingual English/Spanish. My family doesn't speak Spanish. The father is Mexican and him and his family do not speak English. So I am unsure about how to go about the baptism. We want both of our families to be apart, but not sure how to do this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Image: life is just an virtual game. Imagine that some reach creatures buy our unborn bodys, without even knowing the health status, race or sex. The rules of the game are simple to stay alive all level long. If you'll die before your time: You lose. If you push escape button: You lose. No savings. One of my cousins, who is 17 years old, just came out and told everyone she is a lesbian, and now my parents have forbidden me from seeing her again, I am 14 years old, why do I have no choice but to follow them?

They never last but for most normal people like you and me they do last longer. I mean five yrs what the hell 7 tops something aint right.Dont they get it marriage is a LIFE time commitment.

I do, and only last week I drove one of my friends to Church. She was a kind elderly lady who suffered quite badly from arthritis. I even gave her $2 to put in the collection box because she had forgotten her purse.

Now, before all you religious bigots pat me on the back for being a nice person, just understand that because I know (along other scientists) that religious belief is a result of mental illness, does not mean that Atheists will not help those in need. Just because I believe that religious people are mentally handicapped, does not mean Atheists will not extend them the hand of friendship. It happens all the time on Yahoo Answers.

If Atheists can continue to set an example for humanity to follow, then I think our world will become a much happier and safer place to live.
