When did this take place, and why?
I've seen tv shows that show Orthodox Jewish men dressed in black suits with full beards and ringlets of hair near their sideburns. But that's the outwardly appearance. What's the difference between the faiths? (celebrations, doctrine, etc.)

I'd love to hear from Jewish people, but anyone with an honest serious answer is welcome to answer.

We were all born with sinful natures. Doesn't that mean, then, that we have the choice in life on whether or not to act on those sinful natures? Pedophiles, homosexuals, gender trading, lying, adultery, deception, sex outside of marriage, murder, etc.? Would a pedophile be able to march in the streets, get a coolition together of other child molesters, and get legislators to make the rest of society accept their lifestyles because they were "born" that way? Since children are murdered in-utero, would children also be "fair game" because, then, the rights of pedophiles would be more important?

I don't think that according to the Bible there will be sex because God was so stupid that he forgot to create Eve and I just can't help but wonder what Adam thought when he saw all the animals getting it on and he was left holding his own! Obviously God doesn't have sex and is jealous of mankind because he only has one fertile testical (Earth)-but then I guess he could argue that Satan was so damn gQQd LQQking that he had to cast him out cause Satan wasn't a homosexual and wasn't going to bow down to him-(Why else does someone or something want them to bow down except to demand their services) and Geezus never had sex and his mother was a virgin and YOU CAN'T Tell me that sex isn't just plain fun! Now that I think about it-is there even anything in the bible that promotes anykind of fun? It is all about bowing down and servitude-TO SERVE YOUR MASTER God-In what respect-I mean I will be the first to fill out the janitors aplication so I don't SUFFER! B4 U say No I say YES YES OH GOD!

Kind of using the religion to get the people on side. Winning the hearts and minds of their own people. the Sword and the Gospel.
In a way... The beast and his false Prophet. Hal Lindseys,Franklin graham and so on, are the false prophets.
I have heard christians discuss actually not hindering the 'end times' prophecies, so as to not delay the return of Jesus.
Its interesting in a way, maybe the future can be found in 'Revelations' but not because any 'God' is in on it.
You cant say that the American and British governments were not aware, that going into Iraq/Babylon, sends christians(their supporters) wild with Armageddon fevor.
Is it supposed to be coincidence that Many christian teachers prior to gulf war 1, were suddenly talking about a revived Babylon empire and how Saddam husein was trying to model himself after the old king.

My husband is orthodox and i am not, but i want to convert. We got married in the city hall last year and didnt get married in the church, ive been telling him over and over i want to get married in front of god in a church so god will recognize our marriage, but he doesnt want to. Im Catholic but I doubt Roman Catholicism esp in my country bec of the religious leaders getting in the way of national politics. I realized that its not about religion anymore but faith. I now prefer to talk to Him directly because people makes religion so confusing. It hurts more when atheists make fun of Catholics because of our religious leaders. There is more to God than those who are trying to interpret Him and His glory in different ways.

I don't know if gay people are born with a homosexual inclination, but for the sake of argument here, I'll concede for the moment that they are.

Other people are born with other inclinations, though -- bestiality, pedophilia, incest, and so on.

Does this mean that it's okay to act on the inclinations -- just because we have them?

Having the inclination toward a behavior is not necessarily a God-given green light to engage in said behavior. It depends on what it is.

With homosexuality, acting on the inclination toward the behavior is morally illicit, because it goes against the order of God's design for His creation -- namely, that He created us to be sexually complementary. He created roughly half of us male, and roughly half of us female.

In so doing, God made us partners in His ongoing creative work. Homosexual acts deny that partnership. They go entirely against it. It's God's will, but homosexual acts are in denial of it.
