David,
You are a christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing.
It degrades christianity.

The blood sacrifice and blood atonements pre date Christianity by thousands of years. Judism abandoned it much later than the Christians, so it still finds it's way into writings and of course the respective mythologies. I mean no offense in using the term mythology, I just use it to describe the religious and historical accounts of all groups.

Why folks don't believe you, well it is simple all people have there own beliefs, mine allow me to expand and learn all I can about all others, while many discourage or flat out declare it sinful to even research other beliefs. Many here are close minded and can't look past the end of their noses.

Good luck with your research

You make an excellent point that explains how Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament Law. Sin must be punished, and Jesus is our perfect sacrifice.

Hebrews 9:26Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Sure you have to have a blood atonement for you sins. That is what the Lord Jesus Christ did for all that would believe and trust in what He did for them. He died for your sins. He was without sin and He was the lamb of God that took away the sins of the world if only they would believe in Him and what He done. All believers have received that atonement now. Romans 5: 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. 2 Corinthians 5: 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

I think you're here to flame people. The Jews said you're a liar because you know more about Christianity than Jewish scriptures. Apparently you didn't learn enough of their own texts to be considered "Jew enough."

As an agnostic, I really don't see the point of worrying about it.
God gave you sin and now you need his forgiveness for it.
It's kind of sick actually.

Yes, I do believe you. The Jewish people are God's chosen people and He sent his son to come to earth in human form of a Jew to die the sins of the world.

Blood from goats and calves were used to cover sins, but when Jesus died on the cross his blood our sins are washed away and forgiven.

It helps if you cite the Scriptures.

Regarding "Jewish" thing, people saying you're no longer Jewish (as some suggested that's why they were calling you a liar), I think it's ridiculous.

Should they (Jews) see the coming of the Messiah they expect, would they no longer call themselves Jewish? Those who would say you are no longer Jewish are hypocrites unless they would accept that, after recognizing the Messiah they seek, they should change their name.

Some of us don't believe that Yeshua forged a new religion. We refuse to be called Christian.

Leviticus 14. Moses said:

For as to the life of all flesh, its blood is with its life: therefore I said to the children of Israel, "You shall not eat the blood of any kind of flesh; for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off."

Where do you get anywhere where Moses said "..and I've given it to make atonement for your souls."?

Give Chapter and verse for your statement please.

your belief is your belief for anyone to disagree with it is not a bad thing we are all independent thinkers, like you might have a problem with my Roman Catholic beliefs, i do not hold It against you, if anything I forgive you. AS for me the thing I have a problem with is how anyone of any race or religion can honestly believe that they are the chosen people. what message does that send to the rest of the world, that we are the dirt you walk on? Then you wonder why so many people hate and are hell bent on destroying the state of israel and its self righteous arrogant thieving Jews who believe they are better than everyone else.

I think you're a liar for saying you're Jewish. You may (and I stress may) have been raised in the Jewish faith, but if you believe Jesus was the Messiah, then you're a Christian. So do the Jewish people a favor, and drop that crap.

I didn't catch your last-

You are of the tribe of Judah, you live in the LAW.

I am a christian, and to me Christ is my passover and my once and for all sacrifice for my sins.

The blood IS the life.

To me: (I speak for none other)
Moses (Moshe) was the for-runner of Christ. Not one Iota of what Moses wrote is a lie, untrue, false, or done away with!

By the LAW I am commended, but by the blood of Christ I am redeemed.
