Wow, a lot of people are asking this question. I agree, according to prophesies in the Bible at 2 Tim. 3:1-5, Luke 21:7-11, and Matt. 24:14, we are living in the last days. Soon God's kingdom with Christ as king will act to end all wickedness and suffering and accomplish God's will on earth.

Time of the Jews was over with the rejection of Christ - see also Dan 9:24
The Time of the Gentiles ended in 1798 - the end of the 1260 day/yr prophecy seen in the Bible as 1) a Time and Times and half a Time 2) 42 months 3) 1260 days [Dan and Rev]
We are since 1798 living in "The Time of the End" Cann't you see the handwritting on the wall?
Yes....Jesus is coming soon, Praise His Holy Name!

It would certainly seem that way, but before Jesus returns every tribe, tongue, and nation are to hear about Him. There are still thousands of people who have not yet heard of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Until this happens, Christ will not return.

through the ages people went through many difficulties and wards and famines and we might have trouble realizing the sufferings they went thorugh because we are so used to comforts relatively speaking

I don't think the 2nd coming of Jesus is very near. I think there will be more and more natural or man-made disasters coming............it will last maybe another thousands of earthly years.

Not for at least seven years. The second coming will come after the tribulation period, which will be seven years long. I believe that the church (believers in Christ) will be raptured first, and the clock will start then.

We should act as though He was coming in an hour or so, and plan as though we had a thousand years to go.
