Jesus Christ told the disciples that the world would hate them because they first hated Him. Take Heart! Count it all joy! His Grace is Sufficient!!!

To all the faithful who face the hatred of the lost, the non-believers, when we stand firm in our faith in Jesus Christ, I pray that we will physically and spiritually stand strong in this spiritual warfare. Amen?

"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you for My sake. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven. They persecuted the prophets before you in the same way."
Matthew 5:11-12

"If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you."
1st Peter 4:14

"Hear me, you who know what is right; you people who have my law in your hearts: Do not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their insults.

I am ordering my wedding dress in about 2 days and I absolutely can't make up my mind about which color to choose. It is definitely between those two (white or ivory).

I have a pretty good tan, so I know either one would look okay. Is there that big of a difference between the two colors?

I know it's up to me and not anyone else, but I seriously don't know which to choose.

The catholics attempted to change laws and times. Specifically they messed with the 4th commandment, and instituted sunday worship, and moved the 1st day to the 7th day of the week. I am asking exactly when did they re-write the 10 commandments. I need year and month if you can.

I love the South---the culture, weather, people (most of them, anyway.) It's just a great place to live, with a couple of exceptions, which I'll get to.

My TOP picks: Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, western North Carolina, west and middle Tennessee

Not my top picks but still great places: the rest of NC and TN, South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Arkansas (west of Little Rock,) and Oklahoma.

Here are my exceptions:
-Kentucky: that place has the sourest people I've EVER seen in my life. Try making bets that very few people (especially women) will even say "thank you" when you hold a door open for them...I bet you'll win. The place sucks!
-Florida: same reasons, but it does have lot of jobs. It's kind of boring after you hit all the tourist attractions, however. (Side note: I like the weather.)
-Virginia: too rushed, b/c it's the southern end of the Megalopolis.

West Virginia doesn't count as South, no offense to anybody who lives there.

Sorry if the above question seems like a generalization. While hanging around with my white friends, they seem to have less of a problem with "sassing" their parents than black, asian, or latino young people do. I'm always amazed when my white friends feel like they have the "right" to call their parents awful names, and then just laugh it off. Their parents don't do anything about it! They maybe get a little huffy, but laugh too! One of my friends called her mom a "stupid b**ch", and her mom just thought it was the funniest thing in the world! If I, or one of my "minority" friends were to treat our parents like this, we would, at the least, not be able to sit down for a month!
Is this a cultural thing?
(again, sorry if it looks like I'm stereotyping. This is just something I've observed.)

I just found this info recently and wanted to get some feedback on it.

1. The universe is about 15,000 billion light years across and we are carbon based life forms.

2. There are all of these strong and weak forces in the universe.

3. Carbon doesn't begin to form or exist until these forces reach a stage of equilibrium.

4. They reach this equilibrium when the universe is about 15,000 billion light years across!

As one Nobel Prize winning scientists said (crucify me for not knowing the name, and it's not an exact quote, sorry going from memory) "we shouldn't be surprised that the universe is so large. If it were any significantly smaller, we would not exist."

So how significant are we in relation to the universe? Extremely!

What do you guys think of this?

This was info from a guy named David Block. He's a Cosmologist/Mathmatition in South Africa and a Nobel Prize nominee.

Did I give them good example of how an Atheist heathen can still be tolerant of others' beliefs?

They asked me why I reminded them since I am an atheist heathen.

I told them that I didn't want their god to send them to Hell for forgetting to say thanks.

How can we get everyone to be so considerate of other people's wellbeing?

first i have to say that quran was revealed to prophet mohammad who couldn`t read or write 1400 years a go in arabia. the spritual and moral content and the devine beauties of the quran is so attractive that most people become muslims because of
the strong love between themselves and the one god(god of ibrahim, jesus, moses and others who is one god and has no partners or son or daughter),
but some people are after proofs , they cant have faith easily, they are after signs
if you are like them,I want to share with you just some of the many many miracles of the quran.

WORD REPETITION IN THE QURAN

keep in mind mind that quran is also the most beautiful text in arabic literarily and it
was impossible to just add or delete words in order to get these balances.

The word "land" appears 13 times in the Qur'an and the word "sea" 32 times, giving a total of 45 references. If we divide that number by that of the number of references to the land we arrive at the figure 28.888888888889%. The number of total references to land and sea, 45, divided by the number of references to the sea in the Qur'an, 32, is 71.111111111111%. Extraordinarily, these figures represent the exact proportions of land and sea on the Earth today

The statement of "seven heavens" is repeated seven times. "The creation of the heavens (khalq as-samawat)" is also repeated seven times.

"Day (yawm)" is repeated 365 times in singular form, while its plural and dual forms "days (ayyam and yawmayn)" together are repeated 30 times. The number of repetitions of the word "month" (shahar) is 12.

The number of repetitions of the words "plant" and "tree" is the same: 26

The word "payment or reward" is repeated 117 times, while the expression "forgiveness" (mughfirah), which is one of the basic morals of the Qur'an, is repeated exactly twice that amount, 234 times.

When we count the word "Say," we find it appears 332 times. We arrive at the same figure when we count the phrase "they said."

The number of times the words, "world" (dunya) and "hereafter" (akhira) are repeated is also the same: 115

The word "satan" (shaitan) is used in the Qur'an 88 times, as is the word "angels" (malaika).

The number of times the words "man" and "woman" are repeated in the Qur'an, 23, is at the same time that of the chromosomes from the egg and sperm in the formation of the human embryo. The total number of human chromosomes is 46; 23 each from the mother and father.

The word "salawat" appear five times in the Qur'an, and Allah has commanded man to perform the prayer (salat) five times a day

*****look at the complete list of word repetitions in the link for mathematical miracles below***

4-or in the qoran it is said that the universe is ever expanding which has been proven in recent years

5- it said there is cure in eating bee`s honey and it has been proven by doctors that honey has this effect

6-it said that sun and moon are rotating and it has been proven that they are rotating around their axeses

7-it is also mentioned that the earth is egg-shaped, not spherical, a fact which was recently discovered;

8-it also mentioned that the further the light travels in the universe, the weaker it gets, a fact now discovered by the theory of "tired light";

9-it also metions in detail the pulsar stars (al najm al tariq

and many more ....

dont forget that qoran says that christianity and judiasm was from
god too but prophet mohammad was the last prophet for mankind ,who had the
the same message that jesus and moses and abraham and other propohets had.
and that is to worship one god without partners.

*to non-muslims: what do you say about the miracles( they are too many to be coincidenses )?
* to muslims : why do they ignore the clear facts and proofs?

here is a link to some famous scientists point of view a bout the miracles in the quran.

I wear the tighter jersey and bike shorts because that's what cyclists wear, but I always get whistled at or something...how should I reply to this? I simply want to bike! If I supersize my McDonald's meals and eat there four times each day instead of only twice daily to gain about 300 kg., will I attract less attention?
