People lie. Those that say they do see the problem and want to change it. Those that say they don't lie the most. Those who say "only to protect someone from hurt" don't see that their lie will come back and be worse then if they had told the truth from the start. The phrase the pen is mightier than the sword means you can cause people physical harm and that will be painful but writing or saying something cruel causes a emotional harm. Lies can make a person think they don't think i am strong or i can handle the truth. People want others to comfort them but they don't need someone to make sure they never get hurt. for example a family with a loving husband and wife and some kids. The parents get into a fight and get a divorce after six months. they only fought when the kids were not around so they did not know. the parents are lying to the kids that the family is happy. so when the parents tell the kids that their mommy and daddy are not staying together the kids don't understand and think that it is something they did. I'm not saying that kids should know everything about their parents marriage but i am saying that lies NEVER help anyone

Only on the rarest occasion.

I tell prospective employees, during the interview process that I am an Aggie Boy Scout. As an Aggie, I follow a code of Honor "I do not lie, cheat or steal; Nor do I tolerate those who do" .... as a Boy Scout, I am - Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.

These commitments that I make on a daily basis, help define me and guide me.

We are sinners because it is our nature. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Are you not thankful that God has take care of our sins if only we would believe and trust that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

I do my very best not to. It does offend some people but I am quite happy explaining that if you tell the truth your conscience stays a little clearer.

We all sin, and lying is one of the worst ones. Yes, I have lied. I have to repent of that sin, ask for forgiveness, and stay speaking the truth of the Word of God to keep my tongue from destroying the life God gave me.
