I was having a conversation with my wife the other day and the topic of rape came up. It came up because she was going out alone and dresed like a prostitute. So I asked her.. Arent you worried about being attacked? Dressed like that you might just attract the wrong kind of guy. To which she replied... I should be able to wear whatever I want.. Are sticking up for rapists? hmmm
Of course I'm not sticking up for them I'm ust acknowledging the fact that they are out there... why attract their attention? If you swim with sharks don't be angry when they bite..... that's all I was trying to say

Then why does history show Christians have slaughtered more people in time just becuase they believed different? That's not accepting or forgiving. It is a evil act of going against what your religion tellls you. Sounds like you are being brain washed by the Christiananity Cult.

If there is only one TRUE church as the Bible states, is it the Southside Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama or is it the Fellowship Baptist Church in the same city?

My wife, children, and I are searching for a Christian Church to call home. We have attended various Protestant churches (mostly Episcopalian), but for a variety of reasons always find ourselves being pulled toward the Catholic Church.

Our concern is that we are progressive Christians. Is it possible to be progressive and Catholic?

For those of you who are progressive Catholics, how have you come to terms with some of the teachings of the church that aren't, well, modern?

Ahhh! I feel like I'm in the middle of a freakin war people. I wish I was like Pocohantos and could be all like... "STOP!" right before people blow themselves up. It seems that many of you are very intolerant of other people's beliefs or nonbeliefs and feel like you can insult someones faith and make an athiest out of em, OR that you can insult an athiest so much that somehow that helps them believe in God? If you ask me, insulting someone's beliefs or opinions just make them more angry and situation a heck of a lot worse. See now I'm insulting all those who insult others, is there no hope ever for us all??? grrrrr........... bloody pirates, and bums, thanks to the ones who respect others and ask SINCERE questions rather than mock those who are different from them. From what I've noticed the predominate age of people that answer is between 12 and 25. Most of THOSE are girls. Many of the boys are just that...BOYS who think vulgarity and sarcasm make them cool. The older women I've seen are usually PC (politically correct) thugs who think that "BBW" is actually an accurate description. And the older guys are just horny pervs. So aren't there any straightforward, common-sensical, 30-40 year olds who just think about practicality and not want to be "like, ooh, so like, cool" or "fuc*'*n badas* mofo's?" Come on people...grow up.

I REALLY don't like my job, I've only been working there six weeks, but I'm afraid to give my two week notice. (Technically less than two weeks more like 11 days.) This is my first job, so I really don't know how. Do you just tell your boss, or what? Plus, when is the best time to tell my boss? I work at a fast food restaraunt, and I don't know if its tacky to come in at any random time and tell them. Do I give a reason. Advice anyone? Oh, and I plan on doing this tommorrow, if it matters.
