It means your mother taught you well, you are respectful, you do not feel the need to be unruly or to set yourself apart to be noticed, that you are quite comfortable and confident of who you are without having to "placate" some notion that you must "behave" in certain fashion to represent your heritage.

Never be ashamed of who you are. Not all African Americans act ghetto. I'll be the first to say (as a white person) that a lot of white people act ghetto too.

Be more ashamed of the people acting ghetto as a whole. They all look and sound stupid, no matter what skin color they are.

Find some people to hang out with that you are comfortable with. It doesn't matter what color they are.. after all we are all one race.. the human race, and we are all the same color when you shut off the lights.

Don't Worry, I'm not quite ahamed of my race just kind of mad at the people in it, I'm Native, and Most natives act ghetto too, Don't let a stereotype get in the way of you being proud of who you are.

if you left the town or whatever you live in and travel the world you will see that there are many types not just ghetto types
they are no different to any other race
i have whites here in Australia talking getto
so its all the same
all good

I'm ashamed of whites b/c the majority of them are racist(and they don't mind telling you about it when you first meet). That gets old. My parents are old school and they were raised to be racists and tried to get me to be like that. But a black lady practically raised me so how can I hate. We are all the same. We all have the same feelings and will all be in heaven together one day. God isn't racist, so why should we be?
