Then why does history show Christians have slaughtered more people in time just becuase they believed different? That's not accepting or forgiving. It is a evil act of going against what your religion tellls you. Sounds like you are being brain washed by the Christiananity Cult.

I don't believe in say one thing and do the other.

I am a Christian. I know that Horrible things have been done to humanity in the name of God. Those were very misguided activities. Much of it was political in nature.

"Religion" has mess up what God intended as a faith relationship with him.

A true Christian isn't someone who will kill in the name of God or judge or be nonforgiving.

You just have met the masses of religious people who don't represent Christians.

If you met a true Christian you would change your mind. That is a bit sad isn't it.

As in any group there are people who don't represent the whole.

No brainwashing going on in most churches. I do agree that some isolated groups there is an unholy mind control.

I pray that some day you meet a true and genuine Christian

I totally agree with you clcaliforinia.. couldn't have said it better.

Lois the Apo.. don't make assumptions.. one of my closest friends is an agnostic, I had friends in high school who were buddhist and Jehovah's Witnesses. My grandparents and several of my aunts and uncles are Catholic. I'm of no particular religion, I'm a believer, I was raised baptist if you want to know. My uncle is gay. My dad spent most of my life in jail either for stealing or drunk driving or parole violations. My dad's two brothers spent most of their lives in jail for stealing, assault, posession of illegal drugs, or drunk driving, and when they were in jail my grandmother sold weed for them so they wouldn't lose money. My two half sisters are both using the system to get free money, one claiming she can't work and is getting disability even though she is totally capable (she just has a doctor that will lie for her) and the other is on welfare not because she needs it but because she doesn't want to take the jobs she's offered.. she stays with the ones that don't pay well..

Do I love any of these people any less because of any of these things? No. Thats just an accusation made by someone who has been bittered by some religious freak who thinks they are better than everyone else.

My mom, as well as the Bible, has always taught me to hate the sin, not the sinner. And it is not our place to judge. And, God only sees sin. He doesn't see the kind of sin.. sin is sin.. if you kill someone, and the person next to you steals.. God sees it as sin either way.

Christians make Christians look bad.. preaching one thing and practicing another. We all need to get our act together.

Christians and jews were persecuted for there beliefs throughout history. Like anyone of any old religion they have fought for there beliefs, but not killed others because they didn't think the same way.

Christians are always full of love and forgiveness for everyone...except for gays, lesbians, witches, Pagans, Hindus, Wiccans, Buddhists, Satanists, atheists, agnostics, Taoists, abortion doctors, hookers, drug addicts, and anyone who plays with Ouija boards.

"Really tho I can't blame the poor bastards for wanting to know the purpose of their life...don't we all?"

The purpose of life is whatever you make it, not what some silly myth-based belief system tells you. If people cannot find meaning in their lives without adhering to a cult that has resulted in such things as witch hunts, the Inquistions, holy wars, and the Holocaust, then they are pathetic, indeed.

what is your support> do you even know the real purpose for the crusades?? It was NOT christian slaughter, but in defense of Christians because of Muslim Armies. How about the inquistion> Research christian history before you make outragious claims of Christianity.

Yeah, this is true but history is written by the victors. No matter how much proof you show the Christian zombie army they will only see what they want to see, and hear what they want to hear.

Exactly. Religions have slaughtered more people 'in the name of God' than any other 'cult' I can think of.

Really tho I can't blame the poor bastards for wanting to know the purpose of their life...don't we all?

romulanbee - if your friends jump off the bridge, would you jump off the bridge too? What Islam or Hinduism has done in the name of their religions does not excuse Christianity.

BURGIN24 - you clearly know two things about history. Jack and Sh!t.

False Christians fight wars in the name of God. The true Christians will beat their swords into plowshares and have love for one another. God says those who fight and kill one another are NOT his followers.

Which Christians are you talking about.?
This overgeneralizing and sophomoric phraseology of this and many other questions leads me to think many of you are just youngsters who are tossing their empty headed spittle at the world.
Here's your two cents back. I don't think you can spare it.
