From 595 to 619, Muhammad had only one wife, Khadijah. After her death, he married Sawda bint Zama and Aisha (which marriage came first is disputed), then Hafsa. Later he was to marry more wives, to make for a total of eleven, of whom nine or ten were living at the time of his death. The status of Maria al-Qibtiyya is disputed; she may have been a slave, a freed slave, or a wife.

I do not know exactly, because I have never read a complete biography of all prophets (at least 25).I read only a short and uncomplete biography.I think it is because we have not a written source so completely. But I do read that it was a custom or tradition before Islam coming, that the richmen Arab had many wives more than eleven.Yes Muhammad had eleven wives but it was included the first wife Khadijah,he married more than one .He married old women except Aisyah after the first wife died. and after the Uhud war.Uhud war made many widows because there were many muslim soldiers were killed by the enemy..As far as I know he married the old women in order to help their orphans and avoid slander or wrong accusation of others. After that God spoke in Holy Qur'an that muslim man can only married to the maximum 4 women by giving a stipulation that the husband should (1) be fair and justice to all of his wives (2)be capable to finance and to manage a big family (4 wives and their children). But in the Holy Qur'an,God spoke also that a man can not be fair and justice. This clause in the Holy Qur'an is an emergency clause. But in practice there are many muslim men got married to more than one wife only based by his desire, not fair and justice.I think there is no single woman who wants freely to give permission to her husband to married again with other woman except she was forced by her condition such as she can not give child/baby to her husband or she has a chronic disease so she can not fulfil her husband's biological need..This situation can be the justified reason for man to married again.God hates adultery.Adultery is not allowed and someone who did this should be punished..God spoke also that muslim should take care orphans.

Mohammed is the Last true Prophet...so ther wouldnt be any others who could beat that number. The Old testament Jewish Prophets would either be single or married to just one woman (mostly the former). Jesus of Nazareth obviously was not married (unless you believe the Da Vinci Code).

To those guys who mentioned Solomon, David...these are kings, the good man here is asking for Prophets.

To samerosie...do Muslims really think of Solomon and David as prophets....hmm interesting...

It all depends from which view you are looking at. The term prophet differ from Judaism, Islam and Christianity. Whilst Muslims revere David and Solomon as prophets, the Christians do not etc.

I could only think of David and Solomon having more than 10 wives at this moment.

you're making an extremely solid factor. Christians have made Jesus their savior - no longer a prophet. they have married that theory into their faith. they have even made Jesus an extension of God. even even as it mentions that there is purely one God - they don't look to understand we are all toddlers of God. all of us got here from a similar tree and in the experience that they are sinners then they ought to have fallen from a foul tree, in accordance to what the bible teaches. Why replaced into the NT written in Greek and the OT written in Hebrew? multiple mysteries that maximum do not hardship to really question their expertise of the teachings. How can yet another avert even as it obviously states that, what you sow you'll attain - So if you're making blunders they're forgiven by yet another prophet? So, which regulation applies? you would possibly want to pay on your blunders or yet another can launch you from them? also, I observe that once making use of the call Allah, many Christians insult God making use of that call - yet nevertheless honor different international places and languages for making use of the names utilized in theirs, alongside with Dios, Krishna, Khoda, Gott, Theos, and so on. there are a range of of prophets and one Dios, in spite of what that is named. Nature is yet another conceivable call for God in the event you're no longer particular as to how they were given right here. in case your faith separates you from the different beings on earth then per chance those coaching choose correction.

not any mormon prophet. just the mormon prophets from early on in the churches history. mormons no longer practice polygamy. I'm pretty sure though that Brigham Young had at least that many wives.
