Its a sad fact, but a fact nonetheless.
The level of ignorance, narrow mindedness and bigotry on Yahoo! Answers is downright scary.

Looking for a needle in a haystack would be so much easier than getting someones personal opinion about a spiritual question. And because I don't believe intelligent answers to spiritual questions actually exist. other than mine of course.

Why goodbye answers??
How do you get an answer of any kind out of someone who doesn't really understand the subject anyway? So many people follow faith blindly not questioning - without questioning how can you truly understand everything about it? Besides there are so many religions and different facets to each one that there is too much information and confusion - how will anyone ever wade through it all to find an answer?

You as an unbeliever would not know an intelligent answer to a spiritual question if it slapped you in the face. Because you are not looking for intelligent answers, all you want is to make fun of people who do not believe as you do. Yo think that any answer that is of a Christian viewpoint is absurd so you automatically call it not intelligent, when it is you who is to blind and thick headed to see the truth right in front of your nose.

There are two probable reasons. One is that there are not too many "spiritual" people here on Y/A. The other may be that your idea of an intelligent response doesn't necessarily correspond with that of the responder.
There are many "spirits" in this world, but there is only one Holy Spirit of God.

Actually you can find the same kind of answers no matter where you look for them. There are stupid people no matter where you go. However, when you ask on here you tend to not only get stupid people but people with a lot of different views on things than you have. You get a lot of opinions and a lot of emotions too. That is why you have to weed out some of the answers to get to the best ones.

Because people hear the word 'religion' and their minds close up real tight and are incapable of an intelligent response.
Some people are so religious that they forget to think but most are so anti-religious that they refuse to think because it's easier to be hateful and insulting and accuse someone else of being a mindless lemming for fear that their own inability to form an original thought be revealed.
And others of us are just so sick of the hate and bigotry that we find it easier to make wise-crack...hehehe

Its like mining gold. You can go to seawater and get a few milligrams per ton of water, or you can find ore and dig.
I've found a few places of Gold, but you are right, they werent at yahoo answers. They ususally come in the context of a close relationship, and quality time.

Spirituality is a very personal thing and is interpreted differently. With so many religions out there you are bound to get varied answers

Religion and Politics are hot button issues, people answer these questions emotionally. The more emotional someone gets the less likely they are to be logical.

Because you're often faced with a great deal of people who have the ethical mentality of a peice of hay. You could always just plop down and find it in your backside. They'll kick that first, then burn you.
