We'll throw aside the argument that nearly every species on the planet has a small homosexual population, and we'll try another argument.

On a strictly "natural" basis, why bother with marriage at all? If heterosexuals are strictly on this planet to reproduce and make more babies, why marry at all? Isn't marriage sort of counter productive for advancing the species and gene pool?

Why procreate with the same woman multiple times? To make a better gene pool, why not just go have children with multiple women? You can get the job done of birthing 3 children in the time it takes to birth one. Just go around and have sex with 3 women in the same day, get them pregnant, and 9 months later, you've got your genes shared with 3 different women and you've got 3 different gene pools to help advance the human race!

So, how can you truly use the "unnatrual" argument against gay marriage and not sound like a bleeding dolt?

I see this fight every day. Honestly, I start it alot. But, everyone feels sorry for everyone else because of their beliefs. I don't feel sorry for anyone. I treat people good in real life. I live a good life. I don't give a rats testicle what anyone else does.
I do know through years of research and a masters degree that Christianity has been the excuse for the majority of hate killings and genocide. But, I don't feel sorry for anyone because that is a waste of my time.

However, if you affect my life or my friends (I.E. gay hating christians, forcing my students to say the pledge of allegiance with the god part even when they are buddhist and islamic, and killing women in the process of blowing up abortion clinics) Ya, I hate you. But, you will get what you deserve because KARMA will kick your ***. So, I don't feel sorry for you at all

Churches as a child. The last time I went was probally about 10 yrs ago or more. I know that I want to get to know God , But Im having a hard time dealing w/the issue of knowing him in my religion or as a christian. My Mom was catholic. She passed on in April and I almost feel like I need to look into it because she had me baptized catholic. I think they worshi[p Mother Mary , I think we should only worship God. So I'm confused in what to do. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated. God Bless

As an agnostic does not believe there is sufficient information to conclude the existence or non-existence of god, are they also unable to decide on the existence or non-existence of the Easter Bunny?

As only one who does wrong knowingly can rightly be punished.

It's like putting a plate of cookies in front of a very young and telling him 'If you touch them I'll beat you.' And when the kid eventually goes for the cookie--well, it'd hurt your honor if you didn't follow though with the threat wouldn't it? And then you consider yourself merciful 'cause you helped clean the kid up afterword and you didn't kill the kid for disobeying you . . .

Messed up, isn't it?

David had a garden that was absolutely beautiful. In it, he grew the most perfect tomatoes that you have ever seen! One day, Paul came along and planted cucumbers right in the middle of David's garden. When the cucumbers started sprouting, Paul told everyone that the tomatoes were the root of his cucumbers. In other words, that the cucumbers had developed from the tomatoes, and were the natural result of the tomatoes.

When ever i tell somebody that i am an atheist they always comment that i say it like i have something to prove. Like they are trying to prove that deep down i am unhappy with my lack of religion.

Atheism is a beautiful thing. I spend every day with the freedom to find meaning for myself.

Making a long story short: I have been separated for almost a year. Divorce is not final because of contesting issues. I have two children by my ex husband. I met my bf 3 weeks after me and my hubby separated. We messed up, and I got pregnant. Not being divorced yet, the court assumes the father is my ex-hubby. The father is my new bf, I have not been with my ex or anyone else since our separation. I know this was wrong and I have realized my mistakes. My bf has a problem because he just got saved. I got saved, too, but now he don't even want to be with me because he feels like he is intruding in my marriage. And he thinks there is a way it can be saved. There is no way it can be saved. My bf is very judgemental about divorce now that he has become a christian, and he acts like I did this all by myself. I can't argue that what we have done is wrong. But, what now? He doesn't except the fact that I have to speak to my ex about our children, either.

Luke
14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Is it me or some1 else sees the problem with this? And who belives this is the beatifull msg, is it the same understanding of this msg we have today as 2000 years ago?

Many people ask for sympathy and attention because of something that happened in the past. For instance, many african-americans (not all) still whine and complain about the fact that their ancestors were enslaved. They seem to think that they deserve special treatment because of the way their people were wronged in the past. But that's exactly it, it was in the past and is now history. It's being taught in history classes and these people now have all the same rights that all other Americans do. In my opinion, they have no more right to complain about it than I do. Does anyone agree with me?
