You kidding? Ever noticed how quickly fresh donuts go stale?? :) *hehe* j/k
I figure that while sometimes they have legitimate reasons to run the lights, I'm sure that sometimes they blow through lights just cuz they can. They don't wanna have to sit at lights if they don't have to, especially when nobody's around, or they're coming to a particular obnoxiously long light and traffic is light enough to let em through.
I've found that some of em do get to be pretty arrogant... Some of the ones that run lights prolly figure that if they have the power to do something that doesn't hurt anybody, why shouldn't they get to? At least it's a relatively minor misuse of power, they certainly could do worse.... and unfortunately, some do.

Had a few run in with cops I see. Heh, heh...know why? Because they can. Now get back to the take out window and serve up those burgers and fries you whiny little loser.

Not all do this but some feel because they have a badge they can do what they want.
