Why are white women considered a black man's Kryptonite?

I don't understand the analogy.

If white women were Kryptonite, then they would take away the black man's powers and make him weak. Is that what you are suggesting??

I think that that expression has been used because back in slavery days the black man was not allowed to touch or even think about a white woman, and we all want something we cannot have. I don't think it is true for all black men though. I also don't think there is something special about white women it's just you always want something your not suppose to have.

I disagree with this statement to a certain extent. Not all white women are the kryptonite for black men. I know some white women who date black men and many of the men they date don't have cars or money. The women that I do know often are into the African-American culture and have true love for their men. There are white women out there who do horrible things such as set black men up to get in trouble for such crimes as rape when in fact they may have not committed the crime. The Marcu Dixon case in Rome,GA is a good example. And it is not just white women doing it to black women. Women of all races will set up men to get them in trouble with the law for crimes they didn't committ. Many times race is the reason some women do such horrible things. It happens. Even worse, blacks have been known all through history to get punished for crimes they didn't committ. It is not just the women. Bias in the law often causes problems for black men.

I disagree that White women are a Black man's kryptonite outside the corporate settings. Inside they are the worse in bringing down a brother who is well qualified. Management tends to use the "Corp Whore"; to spy on the new brother working his way up the corporate latter. Whatever information he reveals to her, she in turn runs back with data in hand for exposer.

maybe it has to do more with education level, social, economic level if you are talking about "rich" black men and white women. white women are a social status for some black men. Can't people just prefer people regardless of race? I ahave never been attracted to black men allthough I have many black friends and many friends of all races...just maybe it is a personal preference...isn't that possible?

Personally, I am black so I going to try to answer this to my best ability- I feel that its because now days SOME of the white race has a big problem with mixing races and object to it OUTLOUD causing a scene and some blacks feel they may try to say one day that the black guy did something strange like raped her or something of that nature.

Its hard asking questions like these because the answers are crazy. But to my understanding they arent as strong as a black woman and dont give muck lip. Thats why so many men with money have them.
