In my opinion it comes down to 3 things.
1) the claim of being the only way
2) the fact that it encompasses all other religions, I think it is the only one to do this. It talks of all other religions being set up by Satan
3) the claims that Jesus said there would be unbelievers (the authors knowing that not everyone would swallow this ****), I love the way that xians nowadays call the actions of atheists biblical.

no where in the bible does it say it is eternal tourture. the only way to have ETERNAL life is through Jesus Christ. The bible states that there will be weeping and nashing of teeth. let me ask what do you do when someone dies??? Is hell just death

Traditionally eastern religions have not actively sought converts. The spread of christianity and islam has woken them up to the danger of being persecuted by the believers in these communist faiths. I say communist despite capitalist attitudes in the west because they are about "organising" which by default is communist in nature. There is no individualism (individual spiritual development). They say it is free will but certain rules are expected to be followed as submission to the will of god. As opposed to eastern religions where you choose your own deity to relate to and freewill with the knowledge of karma that every action does have an equal and opposite reaction. There is no sense of false security that one will go to heaven no matter what if they accept a certain name of god( as in christianity and islam). Seek freedom but you need to know yourself first to know what you want freedom from!

I've seen this claim several times today. While it's true that some aspects of the Bible have been proven to be accurate by archaeology, it's also true other aspects have been proven false. Finkelstein and Silberman document the archaeological evidence that proves that Israel was never more than a vassel state, and that Soloman and David were nothing more than chieftans. Why would people find it surprising that books that are genuinely old might occasionally record accurate history? How does getting mundain facts occasionally right prove the outrageous parts? Does the fact that Mecca exists and the Qu'ran talks about it somehow prove that Muhammed really preached to the Jin?

In order to sell its self serving view that abortion is wrong, the pro-life movement must use deceit and lies. The pro-life movement quotes the Bible out of context. The pro-life movement changes the meaning of words to support its anti-God point of view. The pro-life movement uses violence to achieve its goals. The pro-life movement calls people names and publishes untruthful information to achieve its goals. The pro-life movement is acting as a prophet in this respect.
The Bible warns:Deuteronomy 18:20-22
20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death."
21 You may say to yourselves, "How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD ?" 22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.
