Some bits of information that will help are:
First, some friends of mine and I got into a habit long ago of saying "It's all gonna burn". You have to realize that this Earth and all that's in it aren't going to last forever. The things that others have (money, cars, jewels,...) that you envy is all temporary and "it's all gonna burn". 2 Peter 3:10 says "But the day of the Lord will come like a theif, in which the Heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and Earth and its works will burn up."
Second, why be jealous? I does nothing but make for bad feelings. If you're jealous of others for what they have or who they are, just remember...as a Christian YOU are a child of the Almighty Living God! You are a Prince or Princess of the King of Kings! One day you wll rule over Angels! What's to jealous of?? YOU will live in a mansion so big and so beautiful one day that it make casles here on Earth look like part of a ghetto!

Jealousy and envy are works of the flesh and to rid yourself from works of the flesh you have to renew your mind start building yourself up spiritually by praying in the Holy Ghost keeping your self in the Love of God and you will not fullfil the works of the flesh.
You 're saying what??? Ok start reading your bible and listening to the bible join a faith based church ask the pastor what'''''''s the Holy Spirit? and learn about Jesus begin to fellowship with him and asked to be filled with His Spirit. Then you can rid your self from jealousy and envy?

Jealousy and envy are wonderful messages from your inner self telling you that you desire something, yet you are not on track to attracting it right now. Read "Ask and It Is Given" by Abraham-Hicks. There are very easy, fun processes in this spiritual non-religious book explaining the Law of Attraction and the Law of Allowing. Have fun with it!

Ask God to show you how much He loves you and the beauty that He sees in your character.
Once you know who you are in the sight of the Lord you will not worry about who and what others are, because you can trust that you are exactly who and what God wanted you to be.
Jealousy and Envy are just like doubt, the can distract you from growing in your relationship with God. Continue to pray and ask God to help you so that you can stay focused on God and trust that He will bring who and what He knows you need into your life.
Jesus Loves You.

By asking yourself why are you jealous? If you want what someone else has then maybe you need to work for it. A little bit of envy is good. It will motivate you, but if you obsess about it then you will never obtain enough to make anyone envious of you. You might discover along the way that what you receive is better than what you originally hated the other person for having.

It's probably not even desirable to get rid of these, but it might be healthy to not let them eat away at you.
You have to stop thinking of yourself as the only thing that matters, and you have to learn to be happy with your current lot. If you can do that, the feeling of jealousy and envy will subside to acceptable levels.

Jealousy and envy are the tools of the enemy for destruction. These will enter into every aspect of your life and torment you. You can't even enjoy being you for looking at someone else. Turn it over to the Lord and honestly pray on it. Get into a GOOD church and speak with one of the counselors. Get involved with people who want to see you get ahead. You will see your attitude and life turn around. It's a wonderful thing to be able to look at your brother or sister and be happy at their prosperity.

Work hard. When you achieve those things which you are envious of, you will no longer see them in someone else as you will be those things. Try not to be shallow in your pursuits. It makes you less of a person and people will look at you with disdain. Envy those who work hard and be jealous of good people. That may sound weird, but once again if you become a good person, you will understand.

I used to be jealous and envious, but now I'm not because I like the way I am and what I have is enough. Sure, you may wish for something, but you don't have to envy it. I'm sure some people envy us.

Become a giver and a forgiver. Stop thinking that it is personal, it probably is not that way at all. Like when you are on the Freeway and some one cuts in front of you, don't get mad or even, it was NOT personal. Not against you personally. Let it go and get on with your life. You will live longer, and happier.
