What the hell do "scriptures" have to do with the actualy existence of anything. You still believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus also? Oh and how about the Easter Bunny? Or Allah. Big Baloney.

There has to be a place where people can go if they don't want to be with God...it could be called many things even the place of Adam. The weeping and gnashing of teeth is because, on the other side, people will realize what they threw away and it will be too late. I'm passing this on, hopefully it will help:

The Door to living in God's Presence, in fellowship
with Him, was CLOSED when the first Adam was kicked
out...(which ruined it for everyone) before this he
was perfect and knew God deeply. A second perfect Adam
REOPENED the Door so that we could be restored to the
original Relationship. So man chooses which Adam he
wants to follow. Not choosing just leaves you in the
first one...outside the closed door. But all are
welcomed to come through the open one if they want.
The only thing is, the Age of Grace is ready to come
to a close...which means the Door will be closing as
well. So, people, don't wait too long. Jesus is the
only DOOR to God. If you don't enter, it's your own
choice...God doesn't choose it for you. Christ is the
door to the spiritual "Ark"...when the floods of
judgment come again....WHERE WILL YOU BE?

I know not all can understand this, but at least you
won't be able to say, "But Lord...I DIDN'T KNOW!
Nobody ever told me!"

IS THERE REALLY A PLACE CALLED HELL?
Matthew 7:13 . . . “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way.”
Matthew 13:49-50 . . . That is the way it will be at the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked people from the godly, throwing the wicked into the fore.
2 Peter 2:4 . . . God did not spare even the angels when they sinned; he threw them into hell.
Revelation 20:10 . . . Then the Devil . . .was thrown into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur . . .There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Although we don’t know where hell is, it definitely exists.

WHAT IS HELL LIKE?
2 Peter 2:4 . . . God did not spare even the angels when they sinned; he threw them into hell, in gloomy caves.
Revelation 19:20 . . . Both the beast and his false prophet were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
Jude 1:7 . . . Those cities were destroyed by fire and are a warning of the eternal fire that will punish all who are evil.
Luke 14:22-24 . . . The rich man also died and was buried, and his soul went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Lazarus in the far distance with Abraham. The rich man shouted, “Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in anguish in these flames.”
Our imaginations can not comprehend how horrible hell is. Here on earth we tend to think in time spans that have a beginning and end. There will be no end to hell.

WHO WILL BE SENT TO HELL?
Revelation 20:15 . . . Anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.
Jude 1:15 . . . He will bring the people of the world to judgment. He will convict the ungodly of all the evil things they have done in rebellion and of all the insults that godless sinners have spoken against him.
Many people will be surprised on judgment day to find that living a good life and being successful did not secure their place in heaven.

HOW CAN I BE ASSURED THAT I AM NOT GOING TO HELL?
John 3:16 . . . God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 14:6 . . . Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
1 John 4:17 . . . As we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we are like Christ here in this world.
Romans 10:9-10 . . . If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
There is only one way to be certain that you are included in the Book of Life. You must confess your sin and believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. By taking this step you have secured your place in heaven and you don’t have to fear hell again.

The Bible does speak of people being thrown into a fire. But symbolisms are frequent in the Bible. Example: Rev 20:15 (KJV), says: “Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” But verse 14 says: “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.” Strange! Is hell itself to be tormented? And how can death, a condition, be thrown into a literal fire? The rest of verse 14 reads: “This [the lake of fire] is the second death.” Rev 21;8 repeats this point. What is this “second death”? The Catholic Jerusalem Bible adds this footnote concerning “the second death”: “Eternal death. The fire . . . is symbolic.” Very true, for it signifies complete destruction, or annihilation.

How interesting! “Hell” is to be destroyed! Note, however, that the Greek word used here is Hades, which, according to Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, means “grave.” Are the dead conscious or suffering in hell, or Hades? The Bible replies: “The dead know nothing . . . for neither work, nor reason, nor wisdom, nor knowledge shall be in hell, whither thou art hastening.”—Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, Catholic Douay Version.

Do the dead remain in Hades? No. Jesus himself was in Hades, or hell, but was “raised up the third day,” as both church creeds and the Bible teach. (1 Cor15:4; Acts 2:29-32; Psalm 16:10) Also, through him “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 24:15) So Hades will finally be emptied and cease to exist—“cast into the lake of fire.”

Appreciating Bible symbolism helps us to understand what Jesus meant when he spoke of sinners’ being “cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.” (Mark 9:47, 48, KJ) The Greek word here used, translated as “hell fire,” is ge´en•na, or Gehenna. A valley by that name was located just outside Jerusalem and was used as a garbage dump. A fire burned day and night there to destroy the city rubbish. This, at times, included the bodies of criminals considered unworthy of a decent burial or of a resurrection. Worms were also present in the valley as destructive agents, but they were certainly not immortal! Jesus was simply illustrating graphically, in a way well understood by Judeans, that the unrepentant wicked would be everlastingly destroyed. So, Gehenna has the same meaning as “the lake of fire”—it represents the second death of everlasting destruction.

The dogma of eternal torment is based on the immortal-soul theory. However, the Bible clearly states: “The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.” (Ezekiel 18:4, 20; see also Acts 3:23.) Proclaimers of hellfire have made the true God, Jehovah, appear to be a fiend—a cruel monster—instead of what he is: a God of love, “merciful and gracious . . . and abundant in loving-kindness.”—Exodus 34:6.

I don't have my bible w/ me at the moment, but i do know what you're talking about on "gnashing of teeth". When Jesus comes those who are evil will remain evil, those who are good will remain good(revelation). Those that remain evil will realize it when Jesus comes through the clouds and begin to cry and and tear at themselves w/ shame and guilt.
Hell does not exist. not right now, and it really won't last that long when it comes. When Jesus comes, He will raise the dead-in-Christ and then living-in-Christ will be caught up and be taken to heaven. Those who have remained evil will be destroyed and Satan will be left to reign the earth 1000 years alone and w/ nobody to tempt. In heaven, everyone will go through the books of Life and will be given a chance to judge God. They will find out why some aren't there and why some are there. eventually everyone will agree that God was right in His decisions. after the 1000 years, the rest of the dead will be raised and Satan will gather them together to make his final attempt to attack God. Jesus will bring down the city of jerusalem, with everyone in it, down to earth. As Satan's attackers run towards the City, God will show them all the sins in their lives. Every sin committed will be played and then everyone will understand that God is just in His decisions. Then everyone will bow down and claim that He is Most High and that's when fire from heaven will come down and destroy all those that are evil, including satan. after all has turned to ash, the earth will be cleaned off and start anew. So, there is a heaven, but not really a hell. it's more of an extermination of all that is evil. What happens when we die? we sleep until Jesus comes and wakes us up. "the dead know nothing" You can read all this in Revelation and you can look up "dead'' in a concordance and find all the scriptures on it.

The concept of a fiery hell comes from the Lake of Fire in Revelation. But, Revelation also says that hell and death would be cast into the Lake of Fire, so clearly the Lake of Fire is not hell, since you can't cast something into itself. The Lake of Fire is a metaphor as well, since death is not a thing that can be cast into something else.

Fire consumes all. The Lake of Fire is a metaphor for absolute destruction, aka annihilation.

HELL COMES FROM THE HEBREW WORD ((SHOEL )) IN THE OT AND THE GREEK WORD ((HADES )) IN THE NT BOTH SIMPLY MEAN THE (( GRAVE ))
AND THERE IS AN END TO HELL. AND THE LAKE OF FIRE IS NOT HELL BUT WHAT IS CALLED THE SECOND DEATH IN WHICH YOU THOSE WHO DON'T ACCEPT GOD WILL BE BURNED TO ASHES INTO NONEXISTENCE.
Re 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Re 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Re 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED TO CHRIST. HE WAS NOT LEFT IN HELL BECAUSE HE WAS RESURRECTED AND HE DID NOT SEE CORRUPTION OR WHAT WE CALL DECAY BECAUSE HE WAS IN HELL OR (( THE GRAVE )) FOR ONLY 3 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS.
Ac 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Just take a moment to ponder just what eternity is and then ask yourself this:

Why would a supreme being who is supposed to be the epitomy of love torture someone for eternity for something done in a short lifetime here on this wacky planet, where there is no real direction from him, where his book of instructions is interpeted in a million different ways and each one of those little groups each think theirs is the only way?

Anyone who believes that needs a serious dose of common sense.

Hell is like the waiting room for the lake of fire that is mentioned in Revelation. The lake of fire is the place where the people will spend all of eternity. Heaven is the other (and better) place. Its waiting room is called Paradise. Which ever one you go to, Heaven or the lake of fire, is where you will spend all of eternity.
