We are taught that God is all-powerful, and all-knowing;He knows everything that has happened, that is happening, and (and this is important) everything that will happen. Doesn't this mean that, from God's point of view everything has already happened, and He is, therefore a powerless passenger in a series of events that, for Him, have already occurred ? And, if he is powerless, then He's not omnipotent, and therefore, He's not God. And if he believes he can change things, then He doesn't know everything, and is also, therefore, not God.

I know I often use the phrase 'you christians' or something similar to describe an attitude that is common among christians. I'm not talking about ALL christians. I know some of you are decent and kind people and you don't follow the hatred that many christians spew. So don't take the things I say as an attack against you.

I just wonder why so few christians stand up to the hateful speech of some? And why are the christians who DO treat people different from them with respect, in the overwhelming minority?

This doesn't take away from the fact that I think your religion is bizarre, but if you are a decent person, believe whatever you like. Just be aware I'm (and others) are going to question it.

And Hell is where you burn... And it's the complete opposite of Heaven, so...

Then... does that mean everyone in Heaven will freeze their... well, you know what's off?

'Cause I don't like being cold anyway. :)

OK... if you want a serious question...

How about all of you Christians that go around telling us we're going to hell STOP for just one minute, and think about this...

1. It accomplishes not the first damn thing, in fact it only damages your "message" and your cause.

2. We've heard it, like I said, a gazillion times.

3. Because of 1 & 2, continuing to threaten us with hell only makes you look ignorant, prideful, hateful, and just plain stupid.

4. Oh boy! Because of 4, now I REALLY want to be a Christian.

Don't you get it?

Modern science teaches us based on observation that the age of the Earth is 5 billion years old and there are some stars that are older than this. This means the Earth has been formed after these stars were formed.

Why does Genesis teach the Earth was formed first?

Why do people in the New Testement refer to the Genesis as if it were fact?

I've been talking to this girl for about 5 months now. We had been having problems here and there and there were times where I felt I needed to walk away. Everytime I tried to do so, she would always ask me back. Even when I told her I was going to move on, she would still contact me on a daily basis telling me that she wasn't going to give up. We had a fight Sunday night(6/26/06) and this time SHE decided to walk away. When I tried to save it, she wasn't trying to hear it. I could tell by the way she was acting that there may have been someone else, so I asked her...She in fact admitted that she met someone...She claimed she met her Monday...Yeah right!! Anyway, I just wish she would have let go a long time ago when EYE was ready. Now that she's drug me along, I have to be the one to get over her and the fact that she's spending her time with someone else. This is killing me. I don't want to let go...What should I do? How do I get her back? Any advice?

And if he is, aren't there other gods we should be concerned about as well?

If not a god, then why does he supposedly get so much power and influence on the world stage?

with the plethera of evidence that homosexuality is prevelent, indeed comon place in the animal kingdom, it is now being acceptaed that this behaviour is evolutionary and is not an evolution deadend as previously thought.

some examples

Male big horn sheep live in what are often called "homosexual societies." They bond through genital licking and anal intercourse, which often ends in ejaculation. If a male sheep chooses to not have gay sex, it becomes a social outcast. Ironically, scientists call such straight-laced males "effeminate."

Giraffes have all-male orgies. So do bottlenose dolphins, killer whales, gray whales, and West Indian manatees. Japanese macaques, on the other hand, are ardent lesbians; the females enthusiastically mount each other. Bonobos, one of our closest primate relatives, are similar, except that their lesbian sexual encounters occur every two hours. Male bonobos engage in "penis fencing," which leads, surprisingly enough, to ejaculation.

I do believe in paranormal stuff but I'm a little sceptical about the whole psychic thing! But this is what happened and my mom thinks it is premonitions, I think it is coincidence! I had a dream about a fire and my dad came home that day and said that one of the old antique million dollar homes in town had burn down. Then I had a dream about the space shuttle exploding (I thought is was about the challenger) so I was asking my mom a lot of questions about it and then we watched Columbia and we were like whoa!! I still say coincidence. Well my boss hasn't been feeling well and he is really stressed out and the night before last I had a dream that he had a heart attack! And when I came in yesterday a co-worker said that he had suffered from a mild heart attack! Is this a gift or coincidence? And if it is a gift how can I get a handle on it! Or am I just a loony? If you have these abilities could you please help me with a little more info about what I am experiencing! Thanks!

This question is premised on the fact that 'race' does not equate to 'culture' (although the two may coincide frequently).
By 'culture' I mean the ethical norms, ideologies, habits, generally accepted beliefs, cultural products (music, art, sport &c.) and technological/ scientific achievements of a people (at least).
