I've had some discussions lately about gay marriage, and it seems to me that one of the biggest arguements that those opposed to it have is that marriage is about having children, and if you're gay, you can't, so you shouldn't get married. But this question isn't about gay marriage; it's about the reason marriage exists at all. Does marriage exist just to create children? It's obvious you don't have to be married to do that. And if you're married and decide not to have children, should you have gotten married at all?

Clothes are meant to conceal not reveal ones body. We women are called to a holy apostolate of motherhood and we are the moral compuses of society. Shouldn't we conduct ourselves as befitting women of Christ?

What if there were no photographs of astronauts walking on the moon, interviews with the astronauts or moon rocks. Would you believe man had walked on the moon? If a person opposes even the possibility of there being a God, then any existing evidence can be rationalized or explained away. To bad they didn’t have cameras back in the day!

I have seen alot of muslim woman who are NOT opressed....infact alot of them are FIESTY and HEADSTRONG. They have RESPECTED CAREERS and are RESPECTED.
Sure in some Islamic countries there are opressed woman BUT purely because of ARAB CULTURE.

I have read parts of the Quran, NOT Hadith, concerning woman I have no problem with it. BTW, I am a Christian woman. Most of the Quranic verses have been MISUNDERSTOOD by people INCLUDING muslims.

"Among His proofs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, in order to have tranquility and contentment with each other, and He placed in your hearts LOVE and CARE towards your spouses. In this, there are sufficient proofs for people who THINK." (30:21, if Im not mistaken).

So why are people still thinking so bacward(and they say Arabs are backward)?

On a recent question I made the comment that to say "there is no God" is stating a negative in the absolute. (like saying "there is no gold in China)--saying that you would have to have "infinate knowledge to say there is no gold.... or there is no God, that by definition that would make you God. One athesist made an intresting point..saying to say "there is a God" is a positive(correct) and that I have to also have infinate knowledge to say there is a God. My question is "Does saying "there is a God" assume infinate knowledge??" How does acknowledging a statement differ from rejecting a statement? Hope this makes sense...

More and more companies are extending medical coverage to domestic partners of employees. Do you think this in some way isn't fair to those heterosexual couples that live together? It seems like they are getting penalized for being heterosexual. What do you think?

No offence intended. Is that a natural rivalry between the English and the Scots? Why is this so? How serious is it?

its got 4 sides, i believe it is commonly called a square, and i have attached it to a carriage or chariot, for the purpose of transporting men and materials from A to B. i think it may need to be refined, as it makes for a bumpy ride at the moment, but i believe the idea could catch on.

any comments?
