No, because the people who cling to a religion are people who need discipline and restraint in their lives. Underneath all that "Jesus loves me!" euphoria they hang on to deep fears of divine wrath. Without their religion to hold them back, I honestly believe some of them would have no qualms about murder, rape, stealing, etc.

The world would NOT be a better place. You have no right to ban religion, just like people with religion have no right to make religion compulsory. In any case, the world would probably become a more violent place without religion. Even if it isn't true, religion still enforces charitable behaviour and good morals. Without this, the world would be a very bad place.

We should never ban all religions. Are you insane??!!
We need religion because there are some religions that doesnt focus on some of the terminologies such as christianity. Some religions are good. If we bann all religions, we dont have any faith or hope to rely on.
And anyways, religion and science balance each other out, meaning that we need science and religion at the same time.

To ban anything is very fascist. Although differences in religion have caused most of our wars the solution is not to ban them. The first action of a communist state is to eliminate religion, it breaks the people down and makes them pliable for control. Whether you believe in a religion or not, in a free society you at least have a choice.

as a pantheist i see no reason to ban all religions just the ones who are ignorant and intolerant of others that are not like them. christianity and islam are the only two hateful religions in the world so we should only ban them and no other

It's been tried in certain places... it never works. Even if a secular government banned religion it would still be practiced secretly and become stronger because of that. The more groups are repressed the more they flourish.

Yeah we saw how that worked in the former Soviet Union. Even in Communism they ban religion to make you LOYAL TO ONLY THE STATE. In a sense that is a RELIGION, you worship the State. In other words if you eliminate religion people will find a new one.

Dang...that's what this country was started on. Wasn't it? Them Pilgrims wanted to practice their own religion without having to worry about getting in troubel for it. If we ban religion, it'll just be another England...back in the day. And, even if Christianity were "banned" I doubt you will totally kill the religion off...

no, we should ban almost nothing. In time theist religions will be a thing of the past. In the future people will look back at this time period and think we were a strange lot.
